Why did Shijiazhuang, Xingtai and Handan become the top three cities with the worst air in China from June+10 in 5438?

The air quality status in June 20 17 released by the Ministry of Environmental Protection of China on June 2 1 0 shows that among the 10 cities with relatively poor air quality in China, the top three cities are Shijiazhuang, Xingtai and Handan in Hebei Province, while Baoding, Hengshui and Tangshan rank 10.

Shijiazhuang: The pollution problem has been "famous all over the country" several times.

Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province, is also a city approved by the State Council to implement coastal opening and financial opening. In previous years, the best weather above Grade II in Shijiazhuang was more than 300 days, but from June 5438 to August this year, the days with excellent air quality in Shijiazhuang were only 28 days, accounting for 1 1.5% of the total days.

Monitoring by the local environmental protection department shows that the main pollutants are particulate matter, and dust pollution mainly comes from coal burning, ground dust and motor vehicle exhaust emissions. The smog basically dissipated under the action of strong winds, but Shijiazhuang had no chance to go with the wind.

Due to the southeast wind, pollutants such as inhalable particles over Shijiazhuang moved westward with the wind, and after being blocked by Taihang Mountain, they turned eastward and returned to their original places. When the northwest wind blows, due to the huge barrier of Taihang Mountain, the northwest wind is intercepted in Shanxi, and some pollutants can't be blown away, so they can only stay over Shijiazhuang.

What's more, Shijiazhuang has more pollution emissions than other cities. There are 23 cogeneration enterprises in Shijiazhuang, plus 7 winter heating stations, with an annual coal consumption of 23.9 million tons, exceeding the annual coal consumption in Beijing.

Xingtai: It is rare for heavily polluting enterprises to besiege the whole country.

Adjacent to Shijiazhuang is Xingtai City. There are three main reasons for the serious air pollution in Xingtai: First, the terrain is low and the wind speed is low. Is not conducive to the diffusion of pollutants. Second, the smog time is long and the area is large. Special climatic conditions lead to the long-term accumulation of air pollutants, which aggravates the degree of air pollution. Third, there are many emissions and heavy pollution.

Statistics from the environmental protection department of Xingtai City show that hundreds of coal-fired enterprises in Xingtai City and its surrounding areas consume more than 6,543,800 tons of coal annually. This industrial layout besieged by heavily polluting enterprises is rare in the country. At present, the annual emission of dust in Xingtai City is 8,500 tons, the emission of sulfur dioxide is10.9 million tons, and the emission of nitrogen oxides is as high as 39,700 tons, far exceeding the environmental capacity of the city.

Handan: the "four no matter" area is seriously polluted.

Handan is located at the junction of Shanxi, Hebei, Shandong and Henan provinces. Over the years, thousands of small enterprises with serious pollution have gathered in this "four noes" area. "There are many heavily polluting enterprises such as small stones, small white ash and small coal yards in Handan City." These small enterprises are important factors affecting the air quality in Handan.

According to the classified statistical analysis of major air pollution, there are three main sources: fuel combustion, industrial production process and transportation. The air pollution caused by the three factors accounts for 70%, 20% and 10% respectively.
