Is Shaoshan fun? Shaoshan travel guide
Since you are in Changsha, you must go to Shaoshan, just as Beijing is going to the Great Wall.
Shaoshan, according to legend, was the place where Shaole was played during the southern tour of Yao, Shun and Yu, the hometown of the main founders of People's Republic of China (PRC), and also the red revolutionary base.
Shaoshan used to be a small place, belonging to Yintiansi Town, Xiangtan County. Now it is a county-level city managed by Xiangtan City.
I got up at eight o'clock in the morning and booked a bus ticket from Changsha West Bus Station to Shaoshan in advance.
I cleaned up briefly and set off in a hurry with my travel bag on my back. It takes about half an hour by bus to reach the comprehensive hub station of Xiangjiang New District in Yuelu District, which is Changsha West Bus Station. After I got the ticket, I couldn't find the bus entrance in Area C on the ticket face. I asked the receptionist in the hall to know that it was a short-distance ticket and I had to take a bus in Area C across the street.
After getting on the bus, I chose a window seat, and I could see the scenery outside the window. The car quickly drove out of Changsha and drove all the way along expressway to Shaoshan. The distance from Changsha to Shaoshan is not very far, but it takes about one and a half hours by car. During this period, there is a high-speed exit leading to Liu Shaoqi's hometown-huaminglou Scenic Area in Ningxiang County, Hunan Province.
Sitting in the car, listening to songs and watching the scenery outside, 1 1 arrived at Shaoshan bus station around half past ten.
After getting off the bus, it was still quite hot. Considering that it is nearly noon, it is inconvenient to eat in the scenic spot. I plan to find a shop to eat before going to the scenic spot of Mao Zedong's former residence. It's been a long time since I left the station, and I haven't found a place to eat.
I have to say that Shaoshan is really small, even much smaller than our county. When I walked to the front of the railway station, I was shocked by the huge photo of Mao Zedong hanging in front of the station. Usually, I only see such a photo hanging in the center of Tiananmen Square.
It took me a long time to find a place to eat. Few people were seen along the way, which was much more deserted than the crowded cities in the east. After all, it is a county-level city.
It was past twelve o'clock when I returned to Shaoshan bus station again. I bought a four-yuan ticket from the station to the scenic spot of Mao Zedong's former residence, and waited for more than ten minutes before I got on the bus to the scenic spot. The bus took a leisurely walk on the road for more than ten minutes to reach Shaoshan Tourist Service Center, which is a few kilometers away from the scenic spot, but the bus can't get in. All the staff have to get off the bus, buy a ticket for 20 yuan and go sightseeing in the scenic spot. I thought it was an electric sightseeing bus or something, but it turned out to be an ordinary bus, and it was very special.
It takes about ten minutes to take sightseeing bus to the transfer center of Mao Zedong's bronze statue square, so I got off and walked to the square. After walking a few hundred meters, I saw the bronze statue of Mao Zedong in the crowd.
Mention this bronze statue square, which is very famous in the whole scenic spot. In the center of the square is a bronze statue of Mao Zedong.
Speaking of this bronze statue, let's tell some legends. This bronze statue was made to commemorate the 0/00th anniversary of Mao Zedong's birthday. After the production is completed, it needs to be transported to Shaoshan by car. Passing through the border of Jiangxi and Hunan, one day the car suddenly broke down while walking. After careful inspection, there is nothing wrong with it, except that it won't start.
So some people say that it may be that the chairman started a revolution here before and wanted to stop here and have a look. So everyone discussed that he stayed here for one night that day and set out the next day. The next morning, someone said to the bronze statue, Chairman, we are leaving, and if we are late, we will not be able to finish the task. As a result, the car started smoothly and can be driven away directly.
Of course, we don't know the truth of this matter, but it is true that bronze statues have a great influence. In the square, many people bowed to the statue and presented flower baskets. Many of them are retired soldiers and many are elderly people. Some flower baskets were written by retired officers and men of a former army division and so on. It seems that Chairman Mao's position in the hearts of the older generation is really high.
I looked around the bronze statue and saw the Mao Zedong Memorial Hall next to it. I wanted to go in and have a look, but I had no choice but to check. There were so many things in the bag that it was inconvenient for security check, so I gave up the idea.
Go to the nearby Shi Mao Ancestral Temple.
Shi Mao ancestral hall mainly records the genealogy of Mao Zedong ancestors from Mao Taihua to great-grandson Mao Dongdong.
The Mao family first moved from the north to Quzhou, Zhejiang, and then from Quzhou to Ji 'an, Jiangxi. At the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, Mao Taihua, Mao Taizu, returned from Yunnan triumphantly and chose to stay here because he passed Shaoshan. Shi Mao Ancestral Temple is also the place where Mao Zedong and Yang Kaihui later called everyone to launch the peasant movement and oppose the bully landlords. Yang Kaihui once gave a lecture here.
After leaving the ancestral temple in Shi Mao, I went to Mao Zedong's former residence, which is the core of the scenic spot. Seeing more and more people along the way, I know the former residence must be crowded. A few hundred meters away from the former residence, there is a private school called Nan 'an. Mao Zedong studied here in primary school. I went in and visited for a while. Decoration is the same as most private schools, except that the house is dark, but it feels cool in this hot weather.
Come out from the south bank and come to the former residence. As expected, it is very crowded and ready to queue up for a visit. As a result, the screen showed a large flow of people, and it took me more than two hours to wait in line. Looking at the time, I might miss the bus back to Changsha, so I gave up the idea and had to look at it in front of the door. The plaque on the door reads "Former Residence of Comrade Mao Zedong", which was inscribed by Deng Xiaoping.
Seeing too many people, I'm going to go somewhere else first and come back later.
Seeing many people walking up the mountain along the path next to their former residence, I guess it must be their parents' graveyard, because I saw 1959 on TV series and online that I went back to Shaoshan to pay homage to the grave where my father Mao Yichang and my mother Wen were buried together. I followed everyone in this direction. Unknown flowers are blooming on the path, and the scenery along the way is beautiful. The only bad thing is that many villagers nearby sell souvenirs to tourists, and even forcibly sell them to tourists, including some old ladies sitting around the cemetery all day selling flowers to tourists, which is very disharmonious. The cemetery is at the highest point of the whole hill, and there are steps to go up.
Mao Zedong and his mother have very deep feelings, and his mother is also a person who has a great influence on his outlook on life when he was a child. She is a typical working woman in ancient China, with a kind heart.
I remember when his mother died, he wrote the famous "Tribute to Mother", and there was a very famous saying in the middle, "My mother has a strong character and advocates universal love".
Going back to the direction of the former residence again, I saw the residence of the former residence guard class, and the house and the former residence seemed to be.
The pond in front of the former residence is where Mao Zedong swam when he was a child. Now the water is not very clean, and there is less.
I stayed for a while and saw that it was getting late, so I chose to leave in a hurry. I walked for more than 20 minutes to the transfer station in the bronze statue square to prepare for the Dishuidong scenic spot. During the period, I passed the bronze statue square and stopped for a while.
Take a transfer and walk along the bumpy country road. It takes about ten minutes to reach the gate of Dishuidong Scenic Area. On the left side of the scenic spot is Shaoshan Reservoir, next to which is a slender waterfall pouring down. The water quality is particularly clear and the surrounding environment is beautiful. There are mountains and water.
According to legend, this is Long Mai, and Mao Zedong's grandparents were buried in Long Mai, from which such a great man was born. For an atheist like me, of course, I don't believe this. A person's achievement depends on his innate advantages and continuous efforts, but it is undeniable that this is a good place for outstanding people. Because it was too late, I didn't have time to go in and visit. Just took some photos at the door, ready to leave in a hurry.
