The Book of Changes says that "the spirit is invisible and the bones and muscles are tangible", so "those who practice the tangible are invisible, and those who practice the intangible are tangible." The true qi is invisible and intangible, but it exists objectively and is the dependence of life activities. Both spirit and body can be nursed back to health through it. As an intangible thing, the essence can only be adjusted by thinking, and qi can be enhanced by physical exercise, so it is of practical significance to advocate the practice of internal qi in Wushu. Practicing internal qi is one of the necessary kung fu for martial arts practitioners. As early as thousands of years ago, Zhuangzi put forward the theory that "it's only for a long life", and Mencius also said that "it's good to keep my integrity". Therefore, only by practicing internal skills and external skills, keeping shape with luck, keeping shape with qi and combining qi and shape can we achieve the Excellence of Kung Fu. The "internal triad" and "external triad" mentioned in the boxing classics are the specific requirements of practicing internal qi and appearance, and are the combination of internal and external factors. The foot of internal qi can nourish and moisten the human body, and the exercise of external qi can also regulate internal qi to a certain extent. They are complementary and inseparable. The training methods of internal qi and appearance are different, and so are the training methods of internal qi and external boxing. Many methods of practicing Qi in modern boxing are too complicated, which turns the original simple principle into thousands of laws and regulations.
