Typhoon weather in Fangchenggang

Fangchenggang has few foggy days, and the area where the port is located belongs to subtropical maritime monsoon climate, with spring-like seasons and pleasant climate.

Fangchenggang current is mainly composed of tidal current, Fangcheng River and wind and wave current. As a mixed tidal port, there are 6-8 days of small tidal seasons every month, which are irregular semidiurnal tides, and the rest are regular diurnal tides. Large and medium tides are regular diurnal tides, while small tides are irregular semidiurnal tides.

Fangchenggang, located in Beibu Gulf, has obvious maritime monsoon climate characteristics. The main wind direction in this area is NNE. The harbor is surrounded by mountains and there is no wind. Fangchenggang is located in the low latitude area, influenced by the ocean and hundreds of mountains, with abundant rainfall. The precipitation in this area is mainly concentrated from June to September every year, accounting for about 7 1% of the annual precipitation.

There are few foggy days in Fangchenggang. Fog generally appears in the morning and evening between late winter and early spring, and the concentration is thin. Fog usually lasts 2-3 hours in the morning and dissipates at sunrise.
