During the winter vacation, I went to Shanghai where my father works. My favorite place is Qibao Ancient Town.

That day, the weather was fine. I suggested going to Qibao Ancient Town, because I had heard my mother say it was interesting. My parents agreed to my request very readily. We took the subway to Qibao, and the three of us talked and laughed along the way, and soon arrived at our destination. There is a billboard at the intersection of Qibao Ancient Town, which reads: Ten years in Shanghai, Pudong, a century in the Bund, and seven treasures in the Millennium. You know how old Qibao is. We came to Qibao Ancient Street, and there was a plaque at the door, which said that this gatehouse was built in the Northern Song Dynasty, carved with beams and painted with buildings, and it was very beautiful. On the right side of the gatehouse, there is a small pond with many small goldfish. In the middle of the pond, there is a platform with a golden pig sculpture on it. It looks like a piggy bank. On the left side of the door is a sea treasure shape. Haibao is the mascot of the Shanghai World Expo. I'm so happy. I thought I could only see Haibao on TV. Now you can take a close-up photo with Haibao. I'm so happy. Later, I saw many foreign tourists taking photos with Haibao. The buildings in Qibao ancient town are antique and beautiful, selling all kinds of handicrafts and national costumes. Among them, I was most interested in rubbing my feet, and I thought it was coral stone, hehe. We were dazzled by all kinds of teahouses, all kinds of Shanghai specialties and all kinds of snacks. On a sunny Sunday, my grandparents took me to visit Qibao Ancient Town.

When I came to Qibao, there was an ancient temple in the town, where devout pilgrims came in an endless stream and incense was very prosperous. The water in Guzhen River is crystal clear, and there are elegant pavilions of ancient phoenix on both sides of the river for tourists to rest. South Street is dominated by snacks, while North Street is dominated by calligraphy and painting, strange stones and antiques.

Walking, we came to a small bridge, and found that in order to let the boat cross the bridge, the bridge was built very high and the slope was naturally large. What shall we do? I'm a little hesitant, because if I don't take some measures, someone will accidentally slide off the bridge. When I got closer, I found that there were steps on the upper and lower slopes of the bridge, so that no one would slide down and the ship could pass.
