Is there a difference between congenital qigong and Quanzhen?

1. Orthodox schools mainly focus on fasting and Zuo Fu. To put it bluntly, it is to catch ghosts to exorcise evil spirits and pray for blessings, with the purpose of exorcising evil spirits and protecting the people; Quanzhen religion focuses on alchemy and cultivation of immortals, with the aim of achieving immortality.

2. Orthodox can drink, not abstain from sex, or get married and have children. Quanzhen believes that the cultivation of truth and nature is the only right way for Taoist cultivation. Only by getting rid of feelings and desires, knowing each other and calming down can we return to simplicity, and all devout believers can't get married.

3. As far as factional differentiation is concerned, Zhengyi did not change much after the Yuan Dynasty, and lived in the ancestral court of Longhu Shi Tian (now the ancestral court was temporarily moved to Taiwan Province). Since its establishment, Quanzhen has been divided into many factions, large and small, among which Longmen Sect is the largest and the most mainstream.

4. In terms of status, Zhengyi was always in the orthodox position recognized by the rulers in ancient times (except Jin and Yuan Dynasties). Quanzhen religion is not recognized by rulers, and its influence is far less than orthodox religion.

Geographically speaking, justice is mainly distributed in the southern area south of Huaihe River, while truth is mainly distributed in the vast area of northern China.
