The waves are full of drums, and whales carry thousands of years of blood.

Waves and drums, whales back a thousand years of blood. It means that the sound of waves is as shocking as tens of thousands of drums. After the whale falls, its blood can be a ever-burning lamp that shines for thousands of years.

The original poem goes like this:

"Looking at the eastern sea, the past is generous, the waves are full of drums, and whale blood is thousands of years. What is Qin Shihuang? I am here to seek immortality. "

Huang Zongxi, a scholar in the late Ming Dynasty, left a well-known poem "A Journey to Dapeng" after visiting Dapeng Mountain.

Dapeng Mountain, formerly known as Xiangshan, is located in the southeast of Cixi City, across Longshan Town. Dapeng Mountain is mountainous and lush, with a panoramic view of the vast East China Sea. To find the way to Dapeng, you can go up the mountain from Hengxi Village in Hetou, south of Dapeng Mountain, Feng Pu's depression in Dapeng Mountain and the ancient road in the north of Dapeng Mountain. The reason why it is named "Dapeng" means that you can sail to the fairyland Penglai from here.

Dapeng Mountain is more than 400 meters above sea level. Deep valleys, surrounded by mountains, overlapping peaks, winding streams, everywhere green. The rocks on the mountain are strange and steep, such as incense burners, stalagmites, Khufu and Yanlong, which are dazzling. At present, the Municipal Meteorological Observatory has built a modern weather radar station at the top of the mountain. Visitors can take a short break, visit modern meteorological observation equipment and overlook the scenery of the East China Sea, killing two birds with one stone.

Dapeng Mountain is located in Tian Yang Township, Cixi City, with an altitude of 422 meters. According to Records of the Historian, in 209 BC, Qin Shihuang made his fifth patrol in order to live forever. Perhaps it's because the first four tours didn't reach Penglai Wonderland. This fifth time, instead of starting from the coast, he "crossed Danyang, went to Qiantang, came to Zhejiang ... to pay homage to Dayu" and finally came to Dapeng Mountain.

According to legend, before the arrival of Qin Shihuang, Dapeng Mountain was originally named Xiangshan, which was named after the mountain was rich in herbs. In 2 10 BC, Qin Shihuang came to Xiangshan for elixir. He saw herbs and orchids everywhere on the mountain, and bees were flying in it, which made him feel relaxed and happy. He ordered the villagers around him to keep bees and collect honey for tribute every year. Since then, the custom of beekeeping has spread in Dapeng Mountain.
