What's the difference between PM 10 and PM2.5?

The particle size of PM 10 is relatively large, so PM 10 settles and the concentration near the ground is the highest. As the height increases, the concentration will decrease. The particle size of PM2.5 is small, which is easy to be evenly distributed in the air, and it cannot be effectively isolated by ordinary masks and air purifiers.

2. Different definitions

PM 10 refers to respirable airborne suspended particulate matter less than or equal to 10 micron. PM2.5 refers to respirable airborne suspended particles with a diameter less than or equal to 2.5 microns.
