Why is there no heating in the cold south?

I don't know whether you live in the north or the south. It would be better to live in the north, because there is central heating in the north. But that's because the weather in the north is particularly hot, so there is the saying of central heating. The north relies on heating for winter, because it is too cold to rely on heating for winter. In the south, because it is in the subtropical zone, the temperature is not too cold, but there are cold periods. So how did they spend it when it was cold in the south?

There will be no heating in the south. They can only spend the cold winter with some intelligent heating or air conditioning. Although they seldom have cold weather, they are still very cold. We can't live in an igloo. When it is windy in the north, or when there is slight air conditioning, they still wear short sleeves in the south, which is their comparative advantage in the south. At least, you can save some money when buying down jackets.

So why doesn't the south install heating even if it is cold? In fact, the reason is very simple, not because of money. According to the relevant national regulations, it takes more than 90 days for a region to allow central heating. Of course, it won't last more than 90 days in the south! So this is also the reason why central heating is not allowed in the south. In the north, central heating can only be done with the consent of the state, and private people can't do it. Just like now, some behaviors such as burning stoves and burning kang at home are specially controlled. Because it is not good for the atmospheric environment, we are slowly improving the use of natural gas for heating in the north. Now burning coal at home must be approved, because coal is a non-renewable resource, which will be gone and pollute the environment.

Then another important reason is that the houses in the north and the south are different, and the structure is different. In the north, the walls are generally very thick, also to keep warm. The wind in the north is particularly strong, so thick walls can also protect against wind and cold in winter. Houses in the south are generally light, because their hot water and air in the south are also hot and humid, and there is a lot of water in the south, which may be wet, so there may be many gaps when they build houses, so if they are centrally heated, they will run out of a lot of heating, which will also cause great waste and the room will not be so warm.
