Go to Xiamen to beg for food
After seeing an article, the author is going to Xiamen to beg for food.
In June last year, I made an appointment with my college roommate and started a trip to Xiamen together. Maybe I didn't choose the right time, but this trip left a very deep impression on me. During the whole trip, the weather seemed to be on steroids, it was so hot that I almost had a fever. As soon as the sun comes out every day, all the pores in the body seem to open the faucet valves. I am sweating and wet. I feel salty even after changing three sets of clothes a day. As a pure southern girl, it is difficult to understand that the sunshine duration exceeds 14 hours. So throughout the journey, I woke up in a gray sky, smeared thick sunscreen on my face and limbs, and went out to face the rising sun.
In order to avoid being exposed like local fishermen after the week-long self-guided tour, we went into the cold drink shops, coffee houses and souvenir shops on the roadside decorated with petty bourgeoisie as soon as the sun rose, and ordered a large portion of milk. Smoothies, stroking the lazy cat on the wooden table, spent the entire noon hour with the scorching sun shining in the sky. After wiping the corners of my mouth after eating mochi, I put down the guide and travel notes in my hands, and lay down on the table to take a nap. When I woke up, the sun was slightly behind me. After sucking the last pearl in the milk tea, I immediately resurrected on the spot and headed to the next scenic spot.
Except for the big problem of weather, everything else in Xiamen is very good. The sky here is blue and the products are rich. The handsome guys don't pay much attention to it. The streets are filled with all kinds of long-legged beauties. In addition, Xiamen is a popular tourist city with extremely convenient transportation. Taxis, buses, BRT, motorcycles, and three-wheelers are all available. However, what I like most is renting a bicycle and riding slowly around the island with my friends.
The beach is the most crowded in the evening. Everyone seemed to have made an appointment, dressed lightly, holding coconuts with straws in one hand and shoes in the other, walking barefoot on the beach. It was the first time for me to truly experience the sea. I was so excited that I almost caught up with the satellite launch. I jumped into the tide. There are seagulls chirping in my ears, and the tide rises and falls. Standing on the beach, I can feel that when the tide rises, the sand is washed up and spreads into the gaps between each toe. But the next second when the tide recedes, the sand in all the fingers is again. Being carried away by the water, it seemed empty. My friends were jumping around on the beach. They had probably taken enough photos, and they called me from a distance to ride around the island together. I let them go by themselves. I wanted to stay with the sea for a while.
The night has fallen, and the sea water that seemed clear during the day has turned into a deep dark blue, projecting a strong mysterious atmosphere. I lay on a stone by the sea, closing my eyes and feeling everything around me. The tourists left one after another, and the surroundings became quieter and quieter, leaving only the sound of "swish" and "sizzle" of the sea water. I took out my phone and recorded this most peaceful sound of nature. Such a peaceful moment is not suitable for thinking. The only thing I have to do is relax myself, empty my mind, and let myself completely integrate into the beauty.
The author describes Xiamen’s climate as warm, with the coldest temperature reaching 1 degree in winter. The seaside promenade is full of people running in shorts. Even if you spend the winter under a bridge, you won't suffer from frostbite like in the north. At most, you will just feel "a little cold." And Xiamen has many sunny days in winter. As we all know, winter in the south is warmer outside than indoors. Especially when the weather is sunny, as long as you are in the sun, you can almost go shirtless, so you can ignore the problem of cold when asking for food. There are faucets outside the public toilets at Baicheng Beach. The beach at Guanyin Mountain has free showers where you can take a bath. There is free drinking water at the tunnel entrance of the Railway Park.
Eating is a major feature. The pork jerky shop in Gulangyu Island can fill you up from beginning to end; the pastries and bakeries all over the street have to throw away the leftovers of the day after closing every night; if you want to eat a big meal If you want to find a hotel for weddings, you just need to shout "Congratulations, congratulations" and follow a person, pretending to be that person's companion, and then you can go in and eat; or go fishing in Bailuzhou, where the mangoes are all over the street on Fanghu Road... …The whole plan about eating, including meat and vegetables, large meals and buffets, food and drink, comprehensive nutrition, rich and frugal, the author has described it to the best of his ability, and the highest evaluation is that it is a completely executable plan. Ask for a meal plan.
The author's detailed description directly aroused my desire to go to Xiamen to beg for food. At our age, we always feel that we need to do something to make our youth worthwhile.
