The reason why Sichuan is suitable for panda life

1, climate and temperature are suitable.

The Hengduan Mountains in Sichuan, where giant pandas live, are just north-south, with a length of 1452 km, so giant pandas can migrate southward along the gentle valleys of the mountains. In addition, there is only a small-scale foothill glacier in the history of Hengduan Mountain, so Sichuan has become the "Noah's Ark" on which giant pandas depend for survival.

2. Superior geographical conditions

The western edge of Sichuan Basin and the eastern edge of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, where wild giant pandas live, are just in the first and second step boundary areas of Chinese terrain. Minshan, Qionglai, Daxiangling and some Qinling Mountains are among the regions with the richest landform types in the world.

3. Rich food sources

Sichuan is a famous mixed bamboo area in China, which is rich in bamboo resources. At present, more than 60 species of 18 genus 160 have been discovered, and the bamboo forest area reaches17.66 million mu, ranking first in China, and distributed in 20 cities (states) 129 counties (cities, districts). In the geological history, there were more bamboos for pandas to eat than now, which provided pandas with an extremely rich food source.
