Geographical Environment of Kongtong Mountain Scenic Area

Located at 12km west of Pingliang City, Gansu Province, it is connected to Liupanshan in the west, Qinchuan in the 800-mile east, Guanshan in the south, Xiaoguan in the north, surrounded by Jinghe River and Rouge River in the north and south, and meets in front of Wangjiashan. It is a fortress in the west of the ancient Silk Road.

Kongtong Mountain Scenic Area is located in Pingliang City, with a temperate semi-humid climate, mild climate, distinct seasons and abundant precipitation. The vertical climate changes greatly, and the precipitation decreases from southwest to northwest in turn. In addition, due to the influence of high-altitude westerly circulation all the year round, sandstorms are relatively large. The main features are cold and dry winter, windy and dusty spring, hot summer, concentrated rainfall and clear and cool autumn.
