How to maintain your car in winter
The temperature has dropped sharply, and car owners need to prepare early
The first thing is glass water. When the weather is bad, some car owners even use pure water instead of glass water. Don't forget to change it before the temperature reaches zero. Many drivers who use glass water infrequently will forget it. If the local minimum temperature is minus 10 degrees Celsius, choose a glass of water with a freezing point that is more than 5 degrees below that temperature, or at least minus 15 degrees Celsius. The glass water does not have a drain outlet, so it is very simple to replace it. You can just spray off the remaining water yourself. It is recommended to spray once for no more than 5 seconds, and then spray again after a few seconds until the spray is finished, and then add antifreeze glass water.
The function of antifreeze is to cool down, take away extra heat from the engine, and keep the engine running at a constant temperature. In addition to cooling, another important function is antifreeze. If the antifreeze is replaced with water, it will freeze in winter, but the antifreeze will not freeze. The life span of antifreeze varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, some are three years and 60,000 kilometers, and some are five years and 120,000 kilometers. It is recommended that vehicles used in the north should go to a 4S store to have the freezing point tested when they are three years old. 4S stores all have tools for detecting freezing point, which are like a telescope and can be measured just by looking at them. If the freezing point drops significantly, it must be replaced. Vehicles used in the south do not need to check the freezing point. They can be replaced according to the manufacturer's recommended age. Most vehicles need to be replaced every three years and 60,000 kilometers.
Battery failures are most likely to occur when the weather is cold, because the performance of the battery is greatly affected by temperature, and the amount of electricity stored will be reduced when the temperature is low. A normal battery will operate at more than 30 degrees below zero. If you leave it overnight, you may not be able to start a fire the next day. Therefore, when you go to a 4S store for maintenance or car inspection, you should check the battery by the way. The battery tester can detect hidden faults in the battery. When the battery life is about to expire, we may not be able to feel it when igniting the ignition, but the battery tester can detect it. There are many cars where the batteries are used normally in the summer, but in the winter they can no longer ignite. This means that the battery life has expired. Check in advance and replace it in advance to avoid wasting time due to the car being unable to ignite when using the car.
