Macao Special Administrative Region (Macau in English and Macau in Portuguese), referred to as "Macau" for short, is the full name of the People's Republic of China (PRC) Special Administrative Region. It is located in the west of the Pearl River Estuary in the south of China, where the inland of China meets the South China Sea of China. It is adjacent to Guangdong Province, 60km away from Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and145km away from Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province.
