The first reason: the relationship between the high angle of the sun and the intensity of solar radiation. From a geographical point of view, it is precisely because of the intersection of yellow and red that the direct point of the sun becomes a back-and-forth movement between north and south latitudes. When the height of the sun returns to the tropic of cancer at noon, its solar radiation intensity will be greater. The higher the latitude between the north and south dimensions, the smaller the height of the sun at noon, the smaller the intensity of solar radiation, and the less light and heat energy the earth's surface gets per unit time.

The total solar radiation obtained on the earth's surface is related to the length of day and night. If the radiation intensity of solar energy is the same, the longer the day, the more solar heat will be obtained and the higher the temperature will be. If we take the northern hemisphere as an example, the height of the sun at noon in low latitudes will be higher than that in high latitudes. The farther north the summer is, the longer the day is, and the smaller the temperature difference between north and south will be. The farther north the winter is, the shorter the days are, and the temperature difference between north and south will increase.

The second reason: there is a big difference between precipitation and temperature. The main reason for the large temperature difference in winter in China is the large latitude difference, while the latitude in the north of China is higher than that in the south. Compared with the south, the height angle of sunlight intensity in winter is small, the daytime is shorter than the night, and there are more sunny days, so the radiation energy of sunlight intensity accepted by the north will not be much different. Moreover, when the northern region is close to the wind source in winter, it will be greatly affected by the winter wind, and the temperature is lower than that in the south. The southern region will also be less affected by winter winds due to the blocking of Qinling Mountains and other mountains, so it is warmer than the south. The south is affected by the warm and humid air flow from the ocean, so winter is mostly mild. The northern region is greatly affected by the winter wind, and the temperature will drop sharply, so the winter wind will aggravate the cold degree in the north.
