About the weather and lightning

This is due to the thunderstorm in the afternoon. Recently, there is a cold westerly vortex in North China and Southeast China. The existence of this vortex makes the cold air at the back of the vortex move southward continuously. Because the vortex is located at high altitude, so is the cold air heading south.

Recently, the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River are located behind the warm high pressure on the sea surface, and the low altitude is occupied by warm air, with southerly winds prevailing. Because of the high surface temperature, warm air convection occurs, and the effect of high-altitude cold air makes this convection more intense, forming a strong afternoon hot thunderstorm.

Lights can be turned on in areas with lightning rods in thunderstorm days, but if the lightning is strong and close, it is best not to turn on the lights.

When I was young, yes. In summer, this kind of strong convective weather often appears, but you just don't remember it.
