If it rains, will Tiananmen Square raise the national flag?

The flag will be raised. In any case, the guard of honor will not postpone or stop this ceremony because of the weather. In fact, the flag-raising ceremony brought us a strong feeling of home and country.

Moreover, the time of the flag-raising ceremony every day is not fixed for one year. The flag-raising ceremony in Tiananmen Square must ensure that the national flag rises synchronously with the sun.

Professionals from Beijing Observatory tested the time of the flag-raising ceremony. For example, in winter, the flag-raising ceremony of Tiananmen Square will be held around 7: 30 every year, and in summer, it will be held before 5: 00.

The square starts from Tiananmen Square in the north, Zhengyangmen in the south, the History Museum in the east and the Great Hall of the People in the west. It is 880 meters long from north to south and 500 meters wide from east to west, covering an area of 440,000 square meters.

In the center of the square stands the Monument to the People's Heroes and the solemn Chairman Mao Memorial Hall. On the west side of the square is the Great Hall of the People, on the east side is the China National Museum, and on the south side are two ancient pagodas built in the14th century-Zhengyangmen and Qianmen Arrow Tower.
