Lushui City is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. It is located in the west of Yunnan Province, bordering Fugong County in the north, Lanping Bai Pumi Autonomous County in the northeast and Yunlong County in Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture in the east.

It borders Longyang District of Baoshan City in the south, Tengchong City in the southwest and Myanmar in the west, with a total area of 3,203.04 square kilometers and a border line of 136.24 kilometers, accounting for 3.36% of the border line of Yunnan Province. According to the data of the seventh population census, as of 0: 00 1 1 on June 2020, the permanent population of Lushui City was 203,977.

By 2022, Lushui will have jurisdiction over 6 towns and 3 townships. Lushui is inhabited by 2/kloc-0 ethnic groups, including Lisu, Bai and Nu, and the minority population accounts for 87% of the total population.

Lushui County, located in the longitudinal valley of Hengduan Mountains, is an important part of China's "Three Parallel Rivers" World Natural Heritage and Shangri-La Eco-tourism Zone.

On September 25th, 20 18, Lushui was awarded the honorary title of "20 18 rural e-commerce comprehensive demonstration county" by the Ministry of Commerce.
