What are the free scenic spots in Hangzhou?

Qiaoxi historical and cultural block 1

Qiaoxi Historical and Cultural District starts from Qiaotou, Chen Gong, extends to the west, reaches the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal in the east and the China Fan Museum in the north. There are fewer and fewer old houses and city walls scattered in the deep alleys of Hang Cheng. Although the weather-beaten face is coated with thick powder, it still reveals a lot of helplessness. Only those old streets are still telling the story of Hangzhou's old foundation.

Standing on the street west of the bridge, it seems that time goes back in an instant, looking at the mottled walls, stepping on the heavy bluestone slabs, touching the old wooden stakes with some moth-eaten traces, smelling the fragrance of food floating from the firewood stove and watching the freighters coming and going. The canal never changed.

2. Ji Xiang Temple

Ji Xiang Temple, "The small ones are hidden in the mountains, and the big ones are hidden in the city". Most of the temples I have seen are on the mountains, but Ji Xiang Temple is an exception. It is located in the center of Hangzhou. The glazed Guanyin in the temple, I was shocked when I saw this Guanyin. Such a huge bronze statue of Guanyin is not uncommon, but the glass wall behind Guanyin has never been seen before. According to the Zen master, this is the only Guanyin in China with such a large glass.

3. Xiaohe Street Historical and Cultural Block

Xiaohe street historical and cultural block is located in the north of Hangzhou, at the intersection of Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, Xiaohe and Yuhang Tanghe. By the river, in the straight street, in life, this is the best interpretation here. Walking through the house with white walls and blue tiles, through the open door or screen, you can see the residents playing mahjong or eating, or meet the old people sunbathing on the bluestone board. Not only is the building well preserved, but daily life is still the same, and most of the original residents are living and living.

4. Jiuxi

Jiuxi, compared with the first three scenic spots, Jiuxi is more famous. Of course, it is only a few, and most tourists still don't know it. Jiuxi, commonly known as "Jiuxi Eighteen Rivers", is located in the mountainous area west of West Lake, adjacent to Qiantang River. Summer is the most comfortable season in Jiuxi, where vegetation is lush and it is a summer resort. In autumn, Jiuxi is the most beautiful time, with maple trees and colorful mountains and plains.

5. Taiziwan

Taiziwan is located in the southwest corner of West Lake. It was originally just a lake bay. According to legend, during the Southern Song Dynasty, two princes, Wen Zhuang and Jing Xian, were buried here, hence the name. Time passed by, and the mountains were stormy. The original small lake bay became a swamp depression due to sediment deposition, and was later opened as a wild park, becoming a free scenic spot around the West Lake.
