Climatic characteristics of Ganzhou

Ganzhou is located at the intersection of Wuyi Mountain Range, Nanling Mountain Range and Luo Xiao Mountain Range, which belongs to the southern edge of subtropical zone and has a typical subtropical monsoon humid climate. The four seasons are distinct, the light and heat are sufficient, the growing period is long, the temperature changes significantly, and the precipitation is abundant but unevenly distributed. There are not only favorable conditions for developing large-scale agriculture, but also climatic factors such as drought, waterlogging and low temperature that are not conducive to agricultural production.

Spring: rainy, disasters constantly. From March to May, cold and warm air flows frequently meet in Gannan, and the weather is changeable, sometimes cold and sometimes hot, and rainy days often appear. Once the cold and warm air currents are violently opposed, there may be severe weather such as thunderstorms, strong winds, hail and heavy precipitation. Summer: waterlogging first, then drought, less heat. In early summer, the whole city is in the southwest airflow on the edge of subtropical high, with sufficient water vapor. Encounter cold air, heavy rainfall, easy to concentrate. Autumn: The season with the least rainy days and the most pleasant, mild and refreshing weather. Winter: cold but not cold, with little rain and snow. Gannan has a low latitude and mountains in the north to prevent cold air from driving directly south. In late winter, it is often controlled by the dry and cold air mass in the north, and there are few clouds and rains. During the day, the sun is shining and the temperature is high. At night, the radiation becomes cold, and the temperature can drop below zero, forming frost and ice. When attacked by a strong cold wave, it can produce solid precipitation or freezing weather, but the probability is very small.
