Precautions for paragliding

Paragliding | What are the precautions? Paragliding is an exciting sport, and more and more young people begin to challenge and like it. But extreme sports are often the most prone to safety accidents, and there are many places to pay attention to. Let's take a look at the precautions of paragliding with me!

Precautions for paragliding 1 1. Pay attention to the change of wind speed when playing paragliding.

In 4 seconds or less, the wind speed changes to more than 8 km/h, which usually makes people feel uneasy about paragliding. In addition, if the wind speed changes more than half of the stall speed, it is also unsafe.

2. When playing paragliding, you should pay attention to avoid the landing point of mechanical turbulence.

In order to avoid mechanical bumps caused by objects, we can measure the wind landing distance from the height of the object, which is equal to the wind speed multiplied by the height of the object, that is, D (downwind landing distance) =V (wind speed) ×H (object height). Example: The wind speed is 10 km/h, and the distance from the downwind landing to the object should be 10 times the height of the object.

3. Pay attention to the check before taking off when playing paragliding.

Check whether the whole umbrella is torn, punctured or scratched, whether the umbrella is opened or not, and pay special attention to the front of the lower surface of the umbrella. Check the continuity of each umbrella rope, whether it is entangled or worn, and remove all adhesion between hanging ropes. Check the connection between the umbrella rope and the control belt. Ensure that the control rope is connected with the collar safely, and freely check whether the sling system is worn or disconnected through the guide ring. Any of the above problems must be corrected immediately, otherwise it must be grounded immediately.

4. Pay attention to the judgment of the flight field when playing paragliding.

If the flight site is unfamiliar terrain, the pilot needs to be accompanied by a local pilot or an experienced pilot, first make a flight demonstration and get familiar with the site and local airflow pattern.

5. Pay attention to the judgment of climate when playing paragliding.

Pilots engaged in paragliding in each season must first understand the different airflow patterns produced in different seasons to ensure flight safety. In spring and summer, we must guard against the sudden change of weather, the approaching of cumulonimbus clouds and the danger of lightning strike. In winter, we should pay attention to the instantaneous increase of wind speed caused by the fast moving front of northeast monsoon.

6, play paragliding should pay attention to beware of strong airflow.

When flying around broken terrain, be alert to bumps caused by strong airflow or terrain wind. Handling of emergencies: Pilots should make strict training and psychological preparation at ordinary times, and plan all emergency plans in coordination with their own response and the use of flight equipment.

What's the difference between paragliding and skydiving?

1, different appearances and shapes

Most of our common parachutes are round, while paragliders tend to be rectangular. Now there is another kind of umbrella that tends to be square. Actually, it should be a downhill umbrella. It is a category between parachutes and paragliders. There is also a power paraglider, followed by a machine, which is a subdivision of paraglider. We usually call it powered paragliding.

2. Different operations

For parachuting parachutes, it may seem a bit reluctant to talk about manipulation. His mobility is poor, the whole process is falling and landing, and there is not much independent behavior. The paraglider has a complete control system, and various flying actions can be realized by adjusting the belt. In the air, it is like a flexible bird, flying freely. Your feet will be heavier when you parachute.

3. Different flight forms

Now we want to play skydiving. We have to fly to the high altitude by plane or hot air balloon and then jump down. We will open the umbrella later, and then wait for landing, and skydiving will be over. The paraglider relies on a hillside with a drop, which can be high or low. With the help of wind power, the wings of paragliders generate lift, so as to achieve lift-off, and then with the help of airflow, various operations such as hovering, staying in the air and flying can be realized.

Some large gliding resorts in China.

1, Beijing Mangshan gliding professional base

It is the earliest professional paragliding leisure sports base in China, with mature training ground, take-off field and landing field, and complete supporting facilities. It is a good place for laymen to learn and experience the fun of paragliding.

2. Fenglongshan Gliding Field in Shijiazhuang

It is quite famous in the field of paragliding. It is a venue opened by the local paragliding club, and all conditions are relatively mature. Due to the wind coming from all directions in Fenglongshan, the updraft is more and stronger, so taking off from the gentle hilltop take-off field can take off from the east, south and north winds, giving people a full sense of security.

3. Pingdingshan Gliding Field in Chifeng, Inner Mongolia

The mountain range here is18km long and 280m above sea level. Looking down from the top of the mountain, you can see that the whole mountain is lush, and the wind speed is between 4 and 8 meters per second, and the wind direction and wind speed are relatively stable. In addition, the landing site under the mountain is relatively flat, mostly grassland, with a wide field of vision.

4. Guangxi Daming Mountain Gliding Field

The Daming Mountain gliding take-off site is relatively mature. * * * * There are three take-off locations at an altitude of 300m, 800m and 1300m, all of which have been manually balanced. Umbrellars can choose a venue to take off according to their own skills. The landing site is at the foot of the mountain, and there is a large area of dry land for landing.

Precautions for paragliding 2 paragliding is an extremely exciting extreme sport. Many young people like to play this exciting sport now. But playing such extreme sports, safety is the most important. Then let's go and see how to operate the paraglider correctly.

First, take off

The take-off of paragliders requires windward slopes, with a length of10m and a slope of about 15 degrees. Take-off must face the wind direction, and the pilot controls the umbrella wing to inflate to the top of his head and then starts to accelerate the take-off. Usually, when the airspeed of parachute wings reaches about 6 meters per second, people will be taken off the ground. For experienced pilots, take-off will be completed in three steps.

Second, climb

The paraglider itself has no power, and it must rely on external forces to climb. When the weather is clear, the pilot can climb to the height of cumulus clouds that day, usually the dew point height of 2000 ~ 4000 meters, by controlling the flight direction and entering the hot airflow. Or in windy weather, depending on the dynamic airflow caused by the mountain shape, the height is usually limited by the dynamic airflow, which is basically equivalent to the height of the mountain.

Third, decline.

Without external force, the paraglider will descend at the speed of 1 m to 1.5 m per second.

Fourth, a downward spiral.

The sinking rate is greater than 14m/s, and the pilot who performs this operation needs a high technical level, and this operation is accompanied by the danger of the pilot fainting.

Verb (abbreviation for verb) landed.

Unlike the crash landing of airplane parachuting, paragliding landing is much softer. Before landing, the paraglider must reduce its speed to the ground facing the wind direction. At a distance of several meters from the ground, the bird can descend near zero speed and zero descent by applying large-scale brakes on both sides.

Sixth, turn

The paraglider can rotate freely. The paraglider has a rope with a brake set, which is connected to the tail end of the wing. When flying, the left and right hands hold the brake handle on the corresponding side respectively. When a brake handle is pulled down, the side tail section is pulled down, and the resistance increases, so that the umbrella wing will rotate in this direction, thus achieving the purpose of turning.

Seven, single whip

Grasp the outermost umbrella rope of Group A with both hands and then pull it down to reduce the effective wing surface area and increase the sinking rate. It should be noted that after this operation, the BrakeCode cannot be used, and the rotation must be completed completely by moving the center of gravity. At the same time, this operation may cause the paraglider to stall, and the combination of single whip operation and accelerator will reduce the risk of stall. At the end of this operation, first release the throttle operation, and then open the outermost rope of group A. (Note: some early paragliders used the outermost two ropes of group A to do this operation. )

VIII. Booth in Group B

Grasp Group B with both hands, and at the same time, pull hard to the chest, so as to deform the umbrella surface and cause stall, thus obtaining a larger sinking rate (about 5 ~ 7m/s). This stop state is different from complete stop and can be controlled. After this operation, just open the pulled group B completely. However, it should be noted that the paraglider will not start gliding immediately, so the premature brake line operation will cause the paraglider to stall completely.
