What are convergence and divergence?

Convergence

Due to ground heating, instability in the air layer and weather systems such as low vortices and shear lines prevailing on the plateau cause systematic movements called convergent ascent. The "convergence" in the convergence and rise of moving airflow refers to the airflow flowing from the surroundings to the center. If the airflow flows from the center to the surroundings, it is called divergence. This depends on whether a low-pressure center or a high-pressure center is formed in this area. If there is a low-pressure center, the airflow flows from the surrounding high pressure into the central low pressure, resulting in convergence and rising airflow.

Divergence: a weather condition characterized by air masses evenly dispersed over a certain area, often accompanied by clear and dry weather.
