What is the virgin forest in West Africa like?

Tai Caliso National Park is an important tropical virgin forest in Africa, which is famous for its low rainforest vegetation. The park is adjacent to the Liberian border in the west and sassandra river in the east, covering an area of 3,500 square kilometers. The landform is mainly plain, and there is Nenoke Mountain at an altitude of 623 meters in the south of the park. The park was established as an animal sanctuary in 1956 and opened as a national park in 1972.

Due to the special climate in Africa, there are two forest forms in Tai Park: one is the virgin forest composed of Parthenocissus tricuspidata and the other is the virgin forest composed of persimmon trees. These two types of forest areas are huge treasures of local endemic plant species. There are many kinds of wild animals in the park, such as chimpanzees, pangolins, zebras and leopards. Among them, Liberian dwarf hippopotamus, sika antelope and Ogibi antelope are endemic to this area and cannot be seen anywhere else. Up to now, Thailand National Park is one of the few remaining tropical virgin forest areas on the earth, attracting the attention of tourists from all over the world with its unique scenery and rich natural resources.

Como primeval forest is located in the northern part of Diva, a cottage, embedded in the grasslands of Sudan and sub-Sudan, with an area of 1 1500 square kilometers. Most of it is located in the hilly area with an altitude of 200-300 meters, and the Como River and volta river meander through it. There is the largest nature reserve in West Africa-Comoe National Park.

Komoe National Park is a transitional zone between Sudan grassland and Yalin area, featuring diverse scenery and southern plants. The Como River runs through it, and there is a green tunnel formed by dense virgin forest on both sides of the 230-kilometer-long river bank. In addition, the grass is mixed with grass, trees and shrubs. There are both sparse trees with cypress as the main group and dense rain forests. This environment has led many animals living in the south to migrate to the north collectively.

Tropical rain forest is a gift from nature, but in recent years, it has been destroyed. There is a large area of tropical rain forest in West Africa, which is home to most wildlife in Africa. However, nearly 4,000 square kilometers of African rainforests are destroyed every year. In order to solve this problem, people have taken a series of specific protection measures, thinking that as long as people consciously protect rainforests, they can be passed down as unique wealth of human beings.
