Dog fever type

The causes of fever vary from state to state.

The problem of dog fever is not as simple as we have seen. There are many kinds of fever, and the different time and frequency of fever in dogs means different problems. Some dogs have a persistent fever, while others have an intermittent fever. There are different reasons for this problem, and there will be some differences in handling it.

Fever: it is due to the function of heat source stimulus, which leads to the dysfunction of body temperature regulation center. The balance of heat production and heat dissipation is destroyed, heat production increases and heat dissipation decreases, thus raising body temperature and presenting systemic symptoms.

Fever: There are other symptoms besides elevated body temperature. Mild fever, due to enhanced phagocytosis, accelerated antibody formation, increased enzyme activity in white blood cells, and strong detoxification function of the liver, thus having a good effect on the body. However, abnormal high fever or persistent low fever will inevitably cause harm to various organs and systems of the body.

Type of fever: fever can be classified according to the degree of fever and the waveform of body temperature curve. According to the degree of fever, it can be divided into four types:

1. Mild fever: the body temperature is 0.5-65438 0℃ higher than the normal body temperature, which is common in local inflammation and systemic digestive system disorder.

2. Moderate fever: the body temperature rises 1-2℃, which is common in general inflammatory process, subacute and chronic infectious diseases, such as gastroenteritis and lobular pneumonia.

3. High fever: the body temperature rises by 2-3℃, which is found in acute infectious diseases and extensive inflammation, such as canine distemper, lobar pneumonia and septicemia.

4. High fever: The body temperature rises above three degrees, which is common in severe acute infectious diseases, such as septicemia.

According to the curve waveform of body temperature response, it can be divided into three types:

1. The high fever lasts for more than three days, and the temperature difference between day and night is within 65438 0℃. This situation is more common in canine distemper, canine infectious hepatitis and so on.

2. Relaxation heat: the temperature difference between day and night of each body temperature changes within 65438 0-2℃, or above 2℃, and will not drop to normal temperature. Common in suppurative diseases, septicemia, etc.

3. Intermittent fever: During the dog's illness, there will be a phenomenon of alternating fever period and non-fever period. The fever period is short and the non-fever period is uncertain, which is common in babesiosis and other problems.
