The regional differentiation of hail disasters in China is deeply influenced by the affected bodies. Through the classification analysis of the existing hail cases in China, the results show that there are 6 categories and 20 subtypes of hail disasters in China, among which food crops are the most frequently affected. From the perspective of dynamic changes, there are four subcategories worthy of attention: First, the number of corn disasters (relative to other crops) has increased, which is related to the universality of corn planting in China and the development of plastic film corn planting.
