What are the classic legends of Hengshui Laobaigan?

There are many beautiful legends about Hengshui Laobai dry wine with a long history and excellent quality, in addition to the ancient records that can be verified.

One of the most representative is the legend of Noriko Sakai by Fuyang River.

According to legend 1000 years ago, there was a small village with peach blossoms along the Fuyang River. There is a hotel at the entrance of the village-Taohua Village Hotel. The high wine flag says "Laobai Dry Wine".

The shopkeeper is a widow in her forties, named Xue Ersao. She runs a front shop and a back shop, and her business is booming.

One day, a white-haired stonemason came to the shop and asked for a drink. Day after day, he drank as usual and didn't pay a penny.

Xue Ersao looked for an opportunity to ask the old stonemason why. The old stonemason said, "isn't the wine here attractive?" Why do you need money? Xue Ersao said, "Yes, the wine here is called Laobaigan, which was brewed by the old workshop left by my ancestors. This kind of wine is pure and white, with high alcohol content, and there is no water left after it is ignited, so people here call it' Laobaigan'.

This wine is brewed by ourselves. Teachers only drink when they pay, and drink for nothing when they have money.

As long as you can clear your name for' temptation', that's enough! So Xue yisow still toasted the old stonemason and entertained him with hospitality.

In order to thank Xue Ersao, the old stonemason dug a well in her backyard. After the completion, the old stonemason turned into a wisp of light smoke by the well, and everyone was amazed. I saw the clear water gurgling and sparkling in the well, so I pressed the pulley and took the well water. It turned out to be clear spring water.

Using this well water to make wine is more mellow and delicious and has a unique flavor. As a result, winemakers all over the world have set up workshops nearby to make wine with this well water, and this place is becoming more and more prosperous.

Hundreds of years later, the small village has become Hengshui City, and the unique Hengshui Laobai dry wine brewed with this well water is even more famous.

Of course, this is a legendary story.

Legend 2: Wang Zhihuan and Laobai Dry Wine.

Hengshui was called Taoxian in ancient times. During the Dragon Period in Tang Zhongzong, the great poet Wang Zhihuan was the editor-in-chief of Taoxian.

It is said that Wang Zhihuan likes Laobaigan wine very much, and he often drinks to amuse himself when composing poems.

According to legend, Wang also invited Luban's disciples to drink Hengshui Laobai dry wine. The rugged old arch bridge across Taocheng was built by Lu Ban's disciples after drinking Laobaigan wine. They stole it from nowhere, moved a bluestone unicorn, and are still squatting in the old stone bridge.

Hengshui people are well-known so far, and they are deeply impressed by Wang Zhihuan's political achievements and the superb skills of Lu Ban's disciples. They think such officials should be invited to drink!

Legend 3: Wang Mian praises wine.

According to legend, one day, Wang Mian, a painter of the Yuan Dynasty, came to Hengshui. It was the middle of winter and the cold weather made him shiver with cold.

Suddenly, he saw a small room, and he decided to go in to avoid the cold.

An old man in the house saw that he was so cold, so he took out a pot of white wine and let him drink it to drive away the cold. Wang Mian didn't refuse. He drank glass by glass. He couldn't help saying, "One cup of incense, two cups of sweetness, three cups of sweetness, appetizing, even ten cups." He asked the old man why he brewed this wine. The old man smiled and replied: "This is Hengshui Laobai dry wine, which is produced everywhere!" Wang Mian left the hut with gratitude and walked a long way, still talking to himself: "Hengshui is full of boiling pots, and dew is flowing every day. It's a waste to walk in the world if you don't drink here! "
