How cold is Haikou in winter?

In winter in Haikou, different people have different experiences.

For the northeast people, the winter in Haikou can be described in one word: "cool"! Every year before winter, it is said that hundreds of thousands of "migratory birds" go to Hainan. No matter on the street or on the beach, there are people who speak the northeast accent to avoid the cold everywhere. When the temperature drops to about 15- 17 degrees, there are many Hainan natives wearing slippers and cotton-padded jackets, and there are also many people walking on the streets in the northeast.

For people living in the temperate monsoon climate of the Yellow River Basin, the general feeling is more like spring and more like autumn.

Spring breeds hope, and autumn is the harvest season. People in northern China especially like spring and autumn.

A day's plan lies in the morning, and winter in Hainan is the sincere preference of mainland tourists. People who do morning exercises get up early enough. A common saying of middle-aged and elderly friends is: "People are not lazy, and the granary is full after autumn."

In winter, mainland tourists in Hainan have gained a full and happy life, which is also the fruit of their unremitting struggle for most of their lives!

I still find it incredible to hear from my neighbors that it rained for half a month in winter. I learned this time. I wonder if it's like this every year.

The cold in Haikou is still different from that in the mainland.

1. The weather is biting cold. Wear down jackets during the day, and 8 kg of quilts and blankets are still cold at night.

2. Because of the cold weather, it has been raining. The clothes we take have long hair, which won't dry after washing, and it's not good to put some desiccants in the wardrobe.

The walls in the room are full of water, and the walls are covered with fur.

In spring, the clothes are covered with hair, washed and wiped, but they are not completely taken off.

After living for a year, I quickly moved out when it expired. I don't know how the locals protect themselves from moisture and cold.

The lowest temperature in Haikou is only 5 degrees. This temperature has serious consequences. The evergreen trees in the street froze to death, and even the leaves did not fall on the branches. The shop has sold out the goods to keep out the cold and keep warm. The most amazing thing is that when I was a child, I got frostbite in my hometown in the north, and the place where I left the root of frostbite began to itch.

This cold weather was only experienced once in 2008.

A friend suggested 1999 the lowest temperature in Haikou is 2 degrees. Think about it carefully, it seems so, but this time the low temperature seems to last only one or two days, unlike the last time in 2008.

The low temperature of 1999 was the first time I felt cold since I arrived in Hainan. I can feel the cold spreading from the soles of my feet to the instep, calves, knees, thighs and waist ... I remember that there were local old people wearing military coats and motorcycle cotton caps, but they still insisted on wearing slippers barefoot.
