Yangzhou Geyuan is one of the four famous gardens in China.

Geyuan, formerly known as Shouzhi Garden, is located in the northeast corner of Guangling District, Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province. Built in the Ming Dynasty, it is a well-preserved private garden of classical salt merchants in Yangzhou with a long history and great artistic value. It is a national 4A-level tourist attraction.

18 18, Huang Zhijun, the general manager of salt affairs in Lianghuai, was converted into a family house on the basis of Shouzhi Garden. Named after the owner loves bamboo, it is also known as the four famous gardens together with the Summer Palace, chengde mountain resort and Suzhou Humble Administrator's Garden. The park is divided into four parts: southern residence, central garden, northern Wanzhu Park and eastern Flower Bureau commercial and leisure block.

The rockery in the park integrates the beautiful scenery of the four seasons into one space, and integrates the painting theory that spring mountain is suitable for traveling, summer mountain is suitable for seeing, autumn mountain is suitable for climbing and winter mountain is suitable for living. Chen Congzhou, a master of landscape architecture, praised it as "an isolated case of China". This scenic spot is one of the 20 key parks in China and one of the first national key flower culture bases. It has also won the titles of the third batch of national key cultural relics protection units and the first batch of national key parks.

Scenic spots in the park:

1, Baoshan Building, Baoshan Building is a seven-foot-long building, which straddles two mountains in summer and autumn, and the two mountains meet the building in the east and west directions. There are many mountain roads leading directly to the upstairs, and Baoshan Building connects two mountains in space. The corridor in front of the building surrounds the two mountains in the chest, which is the origin of the name Baoshan Building. You can enjoy the summer and autumn scenery on the Baoshan Building promenade, so it is nicknamed "just visiting" by modern people. On the south wall of the corridor downstairs, there are bamboo stone carvings inscribed by Liu Fenghao in the Qing Dynasty.

2, Qingyi Pavilion, Qingyi Pavilion is a small hexagonal pavilion, tall and dignified, which can capture the scenery of the whole park. Around Qingyi Pavilion, there are many Taihu stones, and the outer side of Taihu stone is surrounded by a curved green water, so Qingyi Pavilion highlights its beauty under the heavy vault. 3. Series building, opposite to Ge Yuan, south of Dongguan Street, is the former site of Xiaolingshan Museum of Mariwan and Marilu brothers, another big salt merchant in Yangzhou. The series building of Xiaolingshan Museum is known as "the north and south of the great river". Later, the salt transportation in Yangzhou declined, and the Majia family became increasingly depressed. Xiao Linglong Mountain Pavilion changed hands several times and was finally bought by Huang Zhijun. As a farewell hospital, it was destroyed by fire during the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom.

4. Living in Qiu Ge, it is located on the south peak of Qiushan, east-west, and built by the wall. It is the largest building on the rockery in the whole park, with windows on three sides. There are stone steps in the easternmost part of the yard to climb the south peak of Qiushan Mountain. Zheng Xie (Zheng Banqiao) wrote a couplet in front of the pavilion, "Summer rain sounds like autumn, and plum blossoms smell like spring".

5, Yiyuxuan, Geyuan Four Seasons Garden is "Yiyuxuan" in the middle, with three towers in the east and virtual windows on all sides, which can give you a panoramic view of the garden. The roof of the porch is a common tile in Yangzhou, with slightly upturned corners. There are several pieces of stained glass imported from France when the garden was built on the east and west walls. Yiyuxuan is the place where the owner receives guests. There are couplets in front of the entrance: tune the piano in the morning and drum at dusk, and rain in the old days.

6, sentence gallery, sentence gallery has a number of small pavilions, is the place where the owner looks for poetry, hanging a couplet "The moon reflects a thousand words, first frost Meihuai a flower." The sentence gallery is connected with the West Road Building, leading to Xiashan in the northwest, Yiyuxuan, the main building of "Four Seasons Rockery" in the north, and Chunshan and Dongshan in the east.
