Influencing factors of radar band

The influence of radar band on detection target mainly considers atmospheric attenuation.

Water vapor and oxygen in the atmosphere are the main reasons for electromagnetic wave attenuation. When the frequency of electromagnetic wave is less than 1GHz, the atmospheric attenuation can be ignored.

The attenuation peaks caused by water vapor are 22.24GHz(K band) and 184GHz (or 185GHz).

The peak attenuation caused by oxygen is 60GHz(V band), 1 18GHz (or 120GHz).

The general trend is that the higher the frequency, the greater the transmission loss is affected by the weather.
