Daguan Town is located in the southeast border of liangping county, 33 kilometers away from the county seat in the north, bordering panlong town and Tiemen Township in the northwest, and surrounded by Shihuang, Tailai and Jinji Town in Zhongxian County on the other three sides. The town has jurisdiction over 8 administrative villages and 66 villagers' groups, with an area of 53.2 square kilometers, cultivated land area of 19075 mu and a population of more than 20,000.

In the northwest of Daguan Town, there is an outer mountain parallel to Liangping Dongshan, which stretches for more than 30 miles and is about 700 meters above sea level. It is a typical hilly and mountainous area with a mild basin climate, warm in winter and cool in summer. The annual average temperature is 17.3℃, the highest temperature does not exceed 40℃, the lowest temperature is 0℃, the rainfall is abundant, the annual rainfall is 1300- 1400 mm, and the frost-free period is long. The soil is mainly yellow mud, sandy loam, alluvial soil and reddish brown purple soil, which is neutral to slightly acidic and fertile. It mainly produces grain crops such as rice, corn, wheat and sorghum, and cash crops such as grapefruit, plum and tung oil.

Daguan Town was named Guanyin Store in the early days. According to the "48 Liangshan Farm" that the old people often say, it is one of the earliest six towns in the county. However, Daguan Town got its name very late. It came into being when 1940 Dabao Township and Guanyin Township merged into one town. Its predecessor was "Guanyin Township". The name of Guanyin Township was called Guanyin Shop more than 600 years ago. At that time, mail was delivered in Daguan in the middle of Ming Dynasty, because there was Guanyin Rock behind the venue. At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China, when a township was established below the county level, it was named Guanyin Township. After the founding of New China, the Grand View evolved frequently. 1September, 1992, Daguan and Qianfu merged into Daguan Town, which has been maintained ever since.
