Built in Tang Zeng Mingdong Tianjin pontoon bridge. Because Lingqiao is located in a downtown area, it has enjoyed great prosperity despite repeated repairs and losses and repeated constructions. It was not until the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China that someone initiated reconstruction. 1936, with the support of Ningbo Travel Association to Shanghai, Lingqiao, which was built by Siemens of Germany, was officially completed. Its design and service life is as long as 70 years, and it is one of the most representative modern buildings in Ningbo. In 2007, the Ningbo Municipal Government entrusted Tongji University to conduct a thorough inspection of Lingqiao, and considered that the main structure of the bridge was still safe. After necessary transformation, Lingqiao is still the main bridge in Ningbo.
