Nanhu District is the jurisdiction of Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. It is the main city of Jiaxing. Located in the Hangjiahu Plain in the north of Zhejiang Province, it is adjacent to Shanghai in the east, Hangzhou in the west, Suzhou in the north and Hangzhou Bay in the south. It is the economic, political, cultural and commercial center of Jiaxing, with a total area of 4.3898 square kilometers, a registered population of 470,000 and a temporary population of 20,000.

Because it is located in the middle latitude, the hot and humid weather in summer is much shorter than the dry weather in winter.
