Geographical environment of Baohe District

Baohe District is located in the middle of China (32 N,117 E), between the Yangtze River and Huaihe River, and on the shore of Chaohu Lake. It connects the Yangtze River and the sea through the Nanfeihe River, and has the geographical advantages of connecting the east with the west, connecting the Central Plains and connecting the north and the south. Baohe District is bounded by five rivers and one lake-Baohe River, Nanfeihe River, Shiwuli River, Tangxi River and Paihe River, with Chaohu Lake in the south and Hefei Economic and Technological Development Zone in the west. Baohe District covers an area of 340 square kilometers, of which Chaohu Lake covers an area of 70 square kilometers.
