What are the ways to save money in Guangzhou life?

I am a marmalade, a "new" Guangbo who has lived in Guangzhou for four years. Due to the epidemic, the industry has shrunk, the income has dropped sharply, and I have to open the road to saving money!

Although I didn't get much salary after saving money for more than two years, I successfully paid off the accumulated 1w+ debt due to the failure of surgery and entrepreneurship, and also successfully unlocked new skills and hobbies. Below I will talk about my understanding and tips on saving money from the aspects of food, clothing, housing, transportation+eating, drinking and having fun!

Clothing:

You can choose to buy in wholesale markets, some of which can be retailed. For those with higher prices in Guangzhou, you can consider buying in Humen Town or Shilong Town in Dongguan. I usually go to Sha Tau Kok Clothing City in Shilong twice a year, and the price is generally between 2 and 12 (T-shirts are generally 1r3-4, skirts and dresses are 5r, winter coats are about 13, and the focus is on new styles. Dongguan itself is a gathering place for garment foundries

Shoes: you can buy it at 1688, choose a pair of about 5r, and choose Putian or the parcel post area for delivery. Generally, the quality will not be bad. In the early days, you can also apply for a monthly card in Pinduoduo, and purchase it with a non-threshold coupon. If the goods you just bought have quality problems or delayed delivery, you can apply for additional subsidies, so I bought a pair of canvas shoes with additional subsidies, and actually paid 2.8r, which is so beautiful!

Food:

It is said that food is eaten in Guangzhou, and the smell of fireworks in Guangzhou is really meaningless. The cries of selling in the vegetable market are one after another, and the most common one is the phrase "flat and beautiful". Indeed, the price in Guangzhou is so touching that it is cheaper than that in many second-and third-tier cities (except Tianhe District).

Take me as an example. I often cook at home. I often go to the following three markets for reference.

1. longjin road vegetable market

the frozen pork bones are as low as 8.5r/ kg, and the expensive ones range from 13.5 to 22r/kg, such as 5r/3 kg of flower shell in season, 15-25r/ kg of Rocky shrimp, 26-33r/ kg of fresh lamb chops and 2-3r/ kg of green vegetables, all of which are freshly picked on the same day. This vegetable market belongs to the poor man's paradise series, but it doesn't have access to the subway and needs small electric donkeys.

2. Changshou New Market

The vegetable market is very large, and it takes 15-2 minutes to walk all around. It is a reticular vegetable market, a fruit area, a meat area, a seafood area, a vegetable area, with obvious zoning, rich dishes and rich people, which is very suitable for vegetable market lovers and students who like the diversity of dishes! And the meat is real, you can just buy a few taels and ask the boss to shred and slice it for you or wash it and stir it into paste! Personally, I recommend buying pork in this market and buying meat at 4 pm on weekends. The meat is still warm and fresh!

3. Shayuan Vegetable Market

It is not an exaggeration to say that it is the largest vegetable market in Guangzhou! The dishes are fresh and cheap! (A little more expensive than Longjin Road) Don't miss out on friends who like to cook for themselves! Moreover, the subway is direct, and the transportation is convenient. Go after buying!

if you are in an offline supermarket, you are recommended to go to Mesbaile and AEON. Meat will be sold at a discount within 48 hours. When it is cheapest, buy one and get one free for no more than 48 hours.

I've also grabbed meat for bones for only 1r! You need to go to the nearby night to find the salesperson's discount time and buy it quickly. (It will be snapped up in less than 15 minutes)

If it is not convenient to buy food offline, you can buy food online with Meituan and buy more food. Buying more food in winter will be much better than that in summer, and the price is sometimes more favorable than that in the vegetable market!

Stay:

You can decide your work area before you come to Guangzhou. Try to choose a place where there are many companies, convenient commuting and more fast food restaurants and large supermarkets around you. For example, Chebeinan, Shipaiqiao, Xicun and Tancun.

If renting a house, there are two suggestions for reference:

1. Brush the rental information on idle fish or douban, or send a post asking for rent. If you don't mind sharing the rent, you can choose to share it, so that the activity place is bigger and the rent and water are shared. If you meet a good fixed renter, it will be the fate of your life!

2. Be sure to ask whether water and electricity are used for civil use. Don't choose a house with high water and electricity costs but low rent. The wool is on the sheep. If you are a second-hand landlord, you should also try to choose a house with the electricity fee of 1r/ kWh and the water fee not exceeding 5r/ ton, otherwise you will work hard to save money and send it all to the landlord.

OK:

Of course it's an electric car!

Although the traffic in Guangzhou is still very developed, sardines on the subway or traffic jams on buses will make people feel unhappy! If you are close, you can consider electric cars. You can commute quickly. The temperature in Guangzhou is still very comfortable most of the time. Shortening commuting time means shortening the distance to freedom! Remember to obey the traffic rules and wear a helmet ~

Other aspects:

Daily necessities: You can compare the prices of Taobao, JD.COM and Pinduoduo at the time of Double Eleven, Double Twelve and 618, see clearly the level+weight of paper towels and the grams of laundry detergent softener, knock out the price/kg with a calculator, and then compare the brands, so that you can screen out the products with the highest cost performance.

shampoo and shower gel can be used offline to see if there are any shops around for sale. The products are often discounted in the near future, which is very cost-effective. Usually, 8+ bottles of Nissan Shiseido shampoo are only 3+

Recommended offline shops: Good sale, Meisi Baile, Yonghui Supermarket.

Recommended online websites: Taobao, Pinduoduo, JD.COM, what is worth buying (you can search for good things with recent discounts, covering the whole network, and buttoning stars are worth having)

Eat, drink and be merry:

Because I really didn't have any money to pay my debts before, but I didn't want to work too hard, I summed up these ideas after groping, which can be used for reference.

1. Post on Xiaohongshu or Douban, find someone to come out to play with, and the money for AA meals and entertainment activities is not more than 5r per capita under normal circumstances.

KTV here in Liwan District has the cheapest secondary card, which costs 99 yuan to sing for three times, only for three hours between 1: am and 15: pm on weekdays. You can buy it at Meituan. Milk tea or dessert can be searched by Meituan, and sometimes you can get a 9.9 cup of tea or a one-for-one benefit from saving the planet with tea.

2. Fishing in the Pearl River

Buy children's fishing rods+earthworms+hooks in Pinduoduo, and the earthworms can be bought and fed with the skin of vegetables and fruits left in the kitchen, and then go fishing. Those who dare not touch earthworms can buy a pack of bait. To kill time, fish can be served, and when caught, it can be eaten or cooked and fed to stray cats. Many stray cats in Guangzhou can be cooked casually, which can also alleviate the anxiety of big cities.

3. Grow vegetables on the balcony

If you rent a house with a small balcony or window sill facing the sun, you can grow some small vegetables and watch them grow from seeds to seedlings. It's really healing! A foam box picked up in a vegetable market+soil dug by yourself+a bag of seeds can become a farmer!

With these, my partner and I spent no more than 2k per month (excluding medical expenses and rent), and successfully paid off 1w debt in one and a half years, from then on, the serf turned over and sang!

that's my money-saving advice, hoping to help my friends who were in the same trouble as me. Just like the American TV series "Our Day" said: Even if life brings you lemon-like bitterness, it can be as sweet as lemonade! Even if you are poor, you can have a good time!
