natural resource
water resource
There are 13 outer river and 104 1 inland river in Zhongshan city, with a total length of about 20 16.35 kilometers, dense river network and wide river basin. The 104 1 rivers in the city are divided into 15 river basins, and there are 6 river basins with an area exceeding 100 square kilometers, namely Qijiang River Basin, Qianshan River Basin, Minsanlianwei River Basin, Xiaoyinyong River Basin, Wuxiang Dananlianwei River Basin and Nanlang River Basin.
mineral resources
There are not many kinds of minerals in Zhongshan, and there is a shortage of metal minerals. The main minerals are granite for building, mineral water, underground hot water, sand and refractory clay. The minerals that have been proved, developed and utilized include granite, sand, refractory clay, mineral water and underground hot water. Among them, the stones are mainly biotite granite, biotite adamellite and granodiorite, which are widely distributed in low mountains, hills and platforms in the city, with Wuguishan and Zhusongling being the most abundant reserves; Underground hot water contains fluorine and radon, which has medical value and can be used for hot spring bath. Mainly distributed in Sanxiang, Tanzhou and Cuiheng. Mineral water is a mineral resource development industry that rose in the late 1980s. It belongs to granite fissure water and is a natural mineral water with low salinity of metasilicic acid, which is mainly distributed in the mountainous areas from Wugui Mountain to Shenwan. The sand is mainly medium-coarse quartz sand, which is mainly distributed in the coastal area of Longxue and the Xiasha belt in the east of the city. Refractory clay is mainly distributed near Haotou Village, Zhongshan Torch High-tech Industrial Development Zone.
plant resources
The representative type of vegetation in Zhongshan City is subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest, and the representative type of vegetation is subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest. There are 2 17 families, 9 12 genera 177 1 species of vascular plants in the city, of which 646 genera 1235 species belong to 86 families, accounting for one sixth of the total in Guangdong province. The forest coverage rate of the whole city is 23. 10%. There are 539 species of vascular plants/kloc-0 in Wugui Mountain, the only mountain area in the city, of which 573 species belong to wild vascular plants 178 families 1003 species, accounting for 96.3%, 92.5% and 86.9% of the total families, genera and species of vascular plants in the city respectively. There are more than 10000 kinds of wild agarwood plants.
Animal resources
The main activity places of large and medium-sized mammals in Zhongshan City are located in the hilly areas of Wugui Mountain and Baishui Forest Mountain. There are 230 species of vertebrates in the city, including 15 orders, 45 families, birds 159 species, mammals 13 families and amphibians 165438 species. National key protected species 2 1 species, national first-class protected species 1 species, namely pythons; There are 20 species under national second-class protection, namely pangolin, otter, civet, spotted raccoon, black-winged kite, black-eared kite, white-bellied sea eagle, snake sculpture, crested eagle, red-bellied eagle, sparrow hawk, common ostrich, white-bellied falcon eagle, kestrel, brown-winged cuckoo, small cuckoo and collar owl. Reptiles, amphibians, birds and rodents dominate the plain area; Aquatic animals include fish and crustaceans.
geographical environment
Zhongshan City is located in the south-central part of Guangdong Province, which is the downstream of the south-central part of the Pearl River Delta and the place where the Beijiang River enters the sea. It is connected with Nansha District of Guangzhou and Shunde District of Foshan City in the north, Jiangmen City, Xinhui District and Doumen District of Zhuhai City in the west, Zhuhai City in the southeast, Lingdingyang in the Pearl River Estuary in the east and Shenzhen City and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region across the river. The whole territory lies between 2211'-22 47' north latitude and113 09'-13 46' east longitude. Administrative jurisdiction area 1783.67 square kilometers. The urban land is 86 kilometers north of Guangzhou, 65 kilometers southeast of Macau, and 52 nautical miles from zhongshan port waterway to Hongkong.
topography
The terrain of Zhongshan City is mainly plain, with high terrain in the middle and flat surroundings, and the plain area inclines from northwest to southeast. Wugui Mountain and Zhusongling Mountain stand in the south-central part of the city. The main peak of Wugui Mountain is 53 1 m above sea level, which is the highest peak in the city. The terrain consists of low mountains, hills, terraces and alluvial plains and beaches at the mouth of the Pearl River. Among them, low hills and terraces account for 24% of the total area, with an altitude of 10-200m, and the soil type is lateritic red soil. Plains and beaches account for 68% of the total area, and the general elevation is -0.5- 1m, in which paddy soil and basic water soil are the types of plains, and coastal salt marsh soil and coastal sandy soil are widely distributed in beaches. The river area accounts for 8% of the whole country. The Xihai Waterway and Modaomen Waterway in the lower reaches of Xijiang River flow through the western boundary of the city from north to south, and Modaomen flows out of the South China Sea. Li Hongqi Waterway in the lower reaches of Beijiang River passes through the northeast boundary of the city from northwest to southeast, and exits the Pearl River Estuary from Hongqimen. In the meantime, branches crisscross, in which Xiaolan Waterway and Jiya Waterway cross the northern half of the urban area, merge into Hengmen Waterway, and leave the Pearl River Estuary from Hengmen Waterway. The water system is divided into two parts: plain river network and low mountain and hilly river network. The river network in the plain area is deeply influenced by the tides in the South China Sea and has the characteristics of a typical estuary area.
climate
Zhongshan belongs to subtropical monsoon climate, with sufficient light and heat and abundant rainfall. The annual average temperature (1981-2010) is 22.5℃. There is abundant rainfall, with an annual average precipitation of 65,438 0.886 mm and sunshine hours of 65,438 0.705.4 hours. The annual average number of thunderstorm days is 68.2 days. Disastrous weather mainly includes typhoon, rainstorm and strong convection. Zhongshan has excellent air quality, high forest vegetation index, good ecological environment, rich climate resources, rich water resources and excellent water quality.
hydrology
Zhongshan City is located in the south-central part of the Pearl River Delta, bordering Lingdingyang in the east. Modaomen, Hengmen and Li Hongqi pass through the Pearl River's eight major waterways to the sea. The city has vast plains, rolling hills and a lot of rainfall. Water system can be divided into two distinct but interrelated parts: plain river network and low mountain and hilly river network. The river network in the plain area is deeply influenced by the tides in the South China Sea and has the characteristics of a typical estuary area. The plain river network in Zhongshan City is one of the main components of the reticulated water system in the Pearl River Estuary. It presents a fan-shaped reticular water system extending from northwest to southeast. The elevation of rivers and riverbeds in the plain river network in the city is below sea level, and the slope is very small. The longitudinal and horizontal sections of most riverbeds are undulating, and only the longitudinal section of Modaomen Waterway is reversed. Most of the rivers in the hilly area of Zhongshan City flow into the main branches and tributaries of the Pearl River, and a small part flows into the Lingdingyang at the mouth of the Pearl River, so it still belongs to the Pearl River system. Affected by geological structure and topography, rivers and streams are distributed in a radial grid around Wugui Mountain.
