Makoto Shinkai, formerly known as Xinjincheng, 1973 was born in Xiaohai Town, Nanzuojiu County, Nagano Prefecture. Japanese animation director, screenwriter and cartoonist, graduated from Nozawa North Higher School in Nagano Prefecture, Japan, and the Japanese Literature Department of the Literature Department of Central University of Japan. 1997 directed the black-and-white short film "Distant World" and won the special award of eAT' 98.
