How to set up the Apple xsmax drop-down control center

Many users have opened the Control Center when using the new iPhone, but they are confused when they see so many icons. What do these icons represent? Let’s take a look.

1. Opening and closing the Control Center:

Open the Control Center: On an iPhone X (or newer model) or iPad with iOS 12 or higher, from Swipe down from the upper right corner of the screen.

Close Control Center: On iPhone X or later, swipe up from the bottom of the screen or tap the screen.

Other models: Swipe up from the bottom edge of any screen to turn it on; tap the top of the screen or press the Home button to turn it off.

2. Icon meaning:

Alarm clock: Tap to set a wake-up alarm.

Brightness: Drag the brightness control up or down to adjust the brightness of the display.

Calculator: Use the standard calculator to quickly crunch numbers, or rotate your device to use the scientific calculator to enable more advanced features.

Do Not Disturb mode: Silence incoming calls and notifications. Press and hold to turn on Do Not Disturb for one hour or until tonight. You can also turn it on just for an event or when you're in a certain location, in which case Do Not Disturb will automatically turn off when the event ends or you leave the location.

Do Not Disturb While Driving: iPhone can sense when you might be driving and mute incoming calls, text messages, and notifications. The person who contacts you will also be notified that you are driving.

Guided Access: Guided Access lets you set up your device to work with only one app and lets you control which features are available in the app.

Low Power Mode: When the iPhone battery is low or there is no power source to charge, you can switch to Low Power Mode.

Magnifier: Turn your iPhone into a magnifying glass to zoom in on nearby objects.

Rotation Lock: Prevents the screen from rotating when you move your device.

Silent mode: Quickly mute alerts and notifications received on your device.

Stopwatch: Measure the duration of an event and track the duration.

Text size: Tap the icon, then drag the slider up or down to make text larger or smaller on your device.

Voice Memos: Create voice memos using your device’s built-in microphone.

Volume: Drag the volume control up or down to adjust the volume of any audio playback.

Camera: Quickly take photos, selfies or record videos.

Flashlight: Turn on the LED flash on your camera to use as a flashlight. Press or hold the flashlight firmly to adjust the brightness.

Hearing aids: Pair or unpair your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with hearing aids.

Home: If you set up accessories in the Home app, you can control your favorite home devices and scenes.

Night Shift: In the "Brightness" control, turn on Night Shift to adjust the colors on the display to a warmer color temperature at night.

Memo: Quickly capture inspiration, create checklists, impromptu doodles, etc.

Screen Mirroring: Wirelessly stream music, photos, and videos to Apple TV and other AirPlay-enabled devices.

Screen recording: Record your screen with a tap. Press or hold Screen Recording, then tap Microphone Audio to use your device's microphone to capture sound while recording.

Timer: Drag the slider up or down to set the duration, then tap Start.

True Tone display: *In the "Brightness" control, you can turn on True Tone display to automatically adjust the color and intensity of the display to match the ambient light.

Wallet: Quickly access your Apple Pay cards or boarding passes, movie tickets, and more.
