The history of meteorological warfare

In 197s, the word meteorological warfare began to appear. It was also called weather war and climate war in literature, but it was generally called meteorological warfare. In the war of aggression against Vietnam, the United States used planes to throw silver iodide bombs into the clouds and carried out artificial rainfall operations in an attempt to cause flooding in some areas, which made it difficult for Vietnamese troops to maneuver and transport materials. Since then, the question of meteorological warfare has been raised and attracted the attention of many countries in the world.

meteorological warfare is still in the experimental stage, and there is no more practice in the world. Due to the limitation of people's understanding of the process of atmospheric change, the natural abnormal weather changes cover up the abnormal consequences caused by artificial weather modification, which makes meteorological warfare have the characteristics of concealment and may make the attacked party suffer unconsciously. Meteorological warfare will develop with the development of science and technology, and people will continue to know it and defeat it in war practice.
