National Day Gannan trip, about Langmusi, Huahu, etc.

I am particularly nervous. I suggest that the return flight be changed to a flight from Chengdu to Xi'an. This way, we are on the same line, from Gannan to western Sichuan, and will not waste a lot of time.

There are two roads from Xiahe to Langmusi. One is a shortcut from Xiaosangke to Langmusi via Amuquhu, Gahai and Luqu. The other is to go to Hehe first and then pass through From Gahai and Luqu to Langmusi, the National Highway 213 is from Amuquhu to Langmusi. Chartered car drivers are generally willing to take shortcuts to save fuel, but the road conditions are poor, and National Highway 213 is relatively better. The total chartered car time is generally about 6 hours, and the minimum cost is 300 yuan/car (small). When returning to Lanzhou from Langmusi, you usually get on the bus at the entrance of Langmusi Hotel. There are two buses from 6 to 7 o'clock every morning. The place where you get off is the center of Langmusi Township. Walk a little further and you will see the crossroads where Langmusi Hotel is located. Currently, the accommodations here include Langmusi Hotel, Bailong Hotel, and Renqing Hotel in Sichuan. , Lvpeng Youth Hostel (recommended), etc.

The altitude is more than 3,600 meters, and Gahai is estimated to be 4,200 meters on the way. There is obvious shortness of breath when going up and down the stairs. Most people have some headaches when they sleep the first night, but they will be fine after that. It should be said that altitude sickness is not obvious. The weather is obviously cold and the wind is very strong on the mountain. If you go there in summer, you need to bring a coat because it will be very cold in the morning and evening. If you go there in winter, you need to take measures to keep warm. Hats and gloves are essential. What you wear in September is similar to what you wear in Lanzhou in winter.

The food at Lisa Restaurant is pretty good and it can be called a well-known restaurant. It serves apple pie and chocolate cake in the afternoon. There may be more tourists during the peak season. Ali Restaurant is located near the Langmusi Ticket Office in Sichuan. It’s an inconspicuous hut in the entrance, and there are a lot of imitation Western food and halal stir-fries here; but we feel that it is really a pleasure to sit in Ali’s restaurant and chat with Ali. There are some local halal scones that taste good when eaten hot. There are also some small restaurants that serve halal or Sichuan cuisine, and the prices are reasonable.

Nearby attractions include: Xiahe Labrang Monastery, Triangle City Ruins (need to charter a car), Gahai Lake (you have to get off the bus when passing by), Maqu, the first song of the Yellow River (continue westward), Zecha Stone Forest ( Near Luqu County (need to charter a car), Western Sichuan Grassland, Milarepa Buddha Pavilion (in cooperation with the city).
