What if the child has a nosebleed?

? First, how should the baby stop bleeding with nosebleeds? How to deal with it?

? 1. Let the baby stand up straight naturally (or let the baby sit on an adult's lap) and lean his head forward slightly. Never lie down or lean back to avoid nosebleeds choking the trachea. The upright posture is conducive to the smooth discharge of blood that has flowed out of the nasal cavity.

? 2. Hold the baby's nose with thumb and forefinger. The nose is soft, and pressure is applied to stop bleeding 10 minute. If the baby is older, he can do it himself. Coagulation takes time, so be careful to press 10 minutes, and don't let go of your finger halfway to check whether the bleeding has stopped. In the meantime, if you are afraid that your baby will be upset, you can let him/her read books or cartoons to distract him/her. If bleeding still occurs after pressing 10 minute, repeat the previous operation and press 10 minute.

? 3. You can apply an ice pack or a towel soaked in cold water to the bridge of the nose and the tip of the nose, so that the tiny blood vessels in the nostrils can contract and help stop bleeding.

? Once the bleeding stops, let the baby know not to pick your nose or blow your nose for the next 24 hours. Within 2 hours after stopping bleeding, try not to let the baby run around or play too hard to prevent bleeding again. During these two hours, you can let your baby do some quiet things, such as drawing, reading and watching TV plays.

? 5. If the baby's nose is too dry, you can dip some vaseline ointment with a cotton ball and rub it in your nostrils after stopping bleeding. Twice a week. However, it is not recommended to choose this method before the child is 4 years old, because it may not be very cooperative and easy to get hurt.

? 6. If the bleeding is still not stopped after the above measures are taken, or the bleeding time exceeds 30 minutes, it needs to be sent to the hospital outpatient department and solved by the doctor. If necessary, the otolaryngologist may use burns to stop the baby from bleeding.

? Second, the cause of the baby's nosebleed

? 1. The baby's nasal mucosa is very fragile. In dry weather, a lot of blood needs to flow through the nostrils to raise the temperature and humidity, so it is easy to cause nasal mucosal hematoma and lead to bleeding.

? 2. Due to trauma, the child is full of energy, and it is easy to bump or be hit during jumping, resulting in a nosebleed on his fragile nose. When playing, it is easy to cause nosebleeds by stuffing foreign bodies into your nostrils.

? 3. Picking your nose A baby with allergic rhinitis or a fever or a cold will have an itchy nose due to runny nose and stuffy nose, which will cause sneezing or picking your nose with your fingers, leading to fragile nasal mucosa damage and bleeding.

? 4. Life is not normal. Many children are prone to nosebleeds because of abnormal work and rest, less sleep time and weak constitution. Generally, children with nosebleeds due to abnormal working hours will also have a lot of gums, nosebleeds and bad breath.

? 5. Bad habits such as partial eclipse, partial eclipse and not eating vegetables can also lead to nosebleeds due to vitamin deficiency.
