According to legend, during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the noble meson of the State of Jin fled with the son of the State of Jin for more than ten years. When he was hungry, he cut off his thigh meat and gave it to Zhong Er. After Jin Wengong returned to China, he took his mother to live in seclusion in Mianshan. Jin Wengong sent someone to look for him, forced him out of the mountain and invaded Yamakaji, but he burned him and his mother to death. When Wen Gong learned that he was angry, he ordered Mianshan to be changed to Jieshan and Yangxian to Jiexiu. He will also "seal it around Mianshan to push the field" to show his nostalgia. The day before in Tomb-Sweeping Day, when the Jiexiu was burned, no fire was allowed, and every household had to eat cold rice, which was the so-called "Cold Food Festival".
