Why is Chongqing so hot?

1. Chongqing is located in the east of Sichuan Basin, with a low average elevation. As the temperature drops vertically, its own temperature is very high.

2. Because it is located in the basin and there are arches such as Dabie Mountain in the north, the downward airflow is not easy to spread and the temperature rises rapidly;

3. The Qinling Mountains and Dabie Mountains in the north block the cold air from going south in winter;

4. In summer, affected by the movement of the subtropical high belt in the northern hemisphere, Chongqing is in summer drought in July and August, and the downward flow is dry and hot.
