Climatic hydrology

The climate of the reserve belongs to the continental monsoon mountain climate of warm temperate zone. It has the characteristics of the same season of rain and heat, long winter and short summer, distinct four seasons and large temperature difference between day and night in summer. The annual average temperature is 6.4℃, the January average temperature is-12.3℃, and the July average temperature is 22. 1℃. There is a north wind in Dorsey in winter and a southeast wind in summer. The wind speed at the foot of the mountain is 2m/ s, which gradually increases downward, and the maximum wind speed can reach 20m/ s ... The annual average precipitation below the mountain is 420mm, and the precipitation above the mountainside gradually increases, reaching 700mm in the most years, and the rainfall is concentrated in July and August. The first frost is in early September, the last frost is in late May, and the growth period is 60-80 days.

Due to the high altitude, the climate of the mountain is quite different from bottom to top, and there is a phenomenon of vertical distribution of four seasons. Low mountains or hills at an altitude of 1000- 1300m are warm climate zones, with an average temperature of 5-6 degrees and a frost-free period of 130- 140 days. The lower part of Zhongshan 1300- 1800 meters belongs to a warm and humid climate zone, with an average temperature of 4-5 degrees and a frost-free period of 100- 120 days; The upper part of Zhongshan 1800-2500m is a cold climate zone with an annual average temperature of 2-3 degrees and a frost-free period of 80-90 days. The subalpine mountain above 2500 meters belongs to a cold and humid climate zone, with an average annual temperature of 0-2 degrees, a frost-free period of about 60 days, spring scenery in midsummer, lush foliage in mid-July, snowy in mid-September, and a freezing period of 5-6 months.

The nature reserve is rich in water resources and abundant in precipitation. The main water sources are precipitation, groundwater and diving. Due to the steep slope and large drop, rapids and waterfalls are often formed. The five main peaks and the East-West Lingshan have become natural watersheds. Water from the north and west flows into Ding 'an River. Water from the southern and central stations flows into Hulu River. Ding 'an River and Liuhu River meet and flow into Sanggan River. The water from Dongtai flows into Juma River after merging with some flowing water in the middle platform, and the water from Dongling Mountain and Xiling Mountain flows into Yongding River. This nature reserve is an important source of Yongding River and Daqing River. A large number of clean water resources are injected into Sanggan River basin in the upper reaches of Yongding River and Juma River basin in the upper reaches of Daqing River every year, which provides abundant water sources for Beijing, Tianjin and surrounding areas and ensures the production and living water of local people.
