Shaanxi Province belongs to the north of China.

Shaanxi Province is located in the middle of China, in the middle reaches of the Yellow River, across the Hanjiang River basin, a tributary of the Yangtze River, and the Qinba Mountain area in the upper reaches of Jialing River in the south. Shanxi Province borders the Yellow River in the east, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the north, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Gansu Province in the west, Sichuan Province and Chongqing City in the south, and Hubei Province and Henan Province in the southeast.

Climatic characteristics

Spring is warm and dry, with little precipitation, rapid and unstable temperature rise and windy and dusty weather; Summer is hot and rainy, with occasional summer drought; Autumn is cool and humid, and the temperature drops rapidly; Winter is cold and dry, with low temperature and scarce rain and snow.

The annual average temperature in the whole province is 9- 16℃, decreasing from south to north and from east to west. The annual average temperature in northern Shaanxi is 7- 12℃, Guanzhong 12- 14℃, and southern Shaanxi 14- 16℃. The annual average precipitation is 340-1240mm. There is more precipitation in the south and less precipitation in the north. Southern Shaanxi is a humid area, Guanzhong is a semi-humid area and northern Shaanxi is a semi-arid area.
