Geographical knowledge about Jiuquan

Jiuquan City is located between Altun Mountain, Qilian Mountain and Mazong Mountain (Beishan) at the western end of Hexi Corridor in northwest Gansu Province. The origin of the name "Su" in Gansu. It connects Zhangye City and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in the east, Qinghai Province in the south, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in the west and Mongolia in the north. It is about 680 kilometers long from east to west and 550 kilometers wide from north to south, with a total area of/kloc-0.92 million square kilometers, accounting for 42% of the area of Gansu Province. The city has jurisdiction over "one district, two cities and four counties" (Suzhou District, Yumen City, Dunhuang City, Jinta County, Guazhou County, Subei County and Aksai County), with more than 40 counties in Han, Mongolia, Kazakhstan and Hui.
