Geographical location of Badaojiang District

Hunjiang District (formerly Badaojiang District) is located in the southeast of Jilin Province, at the foot of Changbai Mountain (4 1 degree 30 minutes to 42 degrees 04 minutes north latitude and 126 degrees 07 minutes to 126 degrees 4/kloc-0 minutes east longitude), bordering Tonghua City in the west, Liuhe County in the north and Liuhe County in the south. The terrain in this area is high in the southwest and low in the northeast, and the Hunjiang Basin is in the middle. The landform can be summarized into three types: mountains, hills and rivers, and its area ratio is roughly three mountains, five hills and two rivers, with the highest elevation of 1487 meters and the lowest elevation of 320 meters. The region has a remarkable mid-temperate continental monsoon climate, with great changes in age, distinct seasons and great differences between years and days. The annual average temperature is 3-5℃, the frost-free period is generally 1 15- 140 days, and the annual precipitation is 800- 1000 mm.
