In front of the salt well is Jiada Village. Originally, I planned to stay in Gada Village for one night, visit their museums and try the famous Gada noodles there. Ge Songjiang CuO and I made an appointment to stay at his house online. Later, due to the road construction of 3 18 Haitonggou section, a large number of vehicles entering Tibet would bypass the Yunnan-Tibet line from Sichuan-Tibet line to Mangkang in those days, fearing traffic jams, so they only stayed in Yanjing for a few hours and arrived in Mangkang on the same day.

Ranwu Lake used to be the upper reaches of Zangbo River. About 200 years ago, the mountain near the exit collapsed, and a large number of boulders and rubble blocked the river, forming a typical dammed lake. So it is long and narrow, with an average width of less than 1 km, and the river surface is not deep, generally less than 6 meters. Ranwu Lake is located in the southwest corner of basu county in Changdu area, about 90 kilometers away from Ranwu Lake Town, the county seat, with an area of 22 square kilometers and an altitude of 3,850 meters. According to local legend, there is a buffalo in the lake and a scalper on the shore of the lake. They wrestled with each other and turned into mountains after death. Ranwu Lake is sandwiched between two mountains. In the past, the accommodation in Wuzhen was very poor and there was no electricity. Now that electricity has been connected here, the accommodation conditions are comparable to Basu, and this time I live directly in Ranwu Town. Unfortunately, the weather was bad, and the sunset and sunrise were not photographed.

Finally, I came to the Everest Base Camp, which is a monument of Everest elevation measurement. The altitude here is 5200 meters. Unfortunately, the clouds were too thick that day, and Mount Everest never appeared under the cover of clouds.

I set up a camera on this hill next to Rongbu Temple, and waited for three hours, but I couldn't see Mount Everest. Later, the clouds became thicker and the wind became stronger. I was really too cold to stand, so I had to go back to my tent to have a rest.

The orbit was taken at Everest base camp at night. Unfortunately, the wind is too strong, and it is estimated to be above magnitude 7. The tripod is still unstable under the heavy carrying bag. In addition, there are many clouds in the sky, and the orbits of the stars are unclear, virtual and dense. I will take a look at it when I send it, and leave some regrets to shoot it next time.

The next morning, the base camp of Mount Everest was covered with heavy snow, so I couldn't see Mount Everest. I immediately drove to Gaowula Pass, hoping to see Mount Everest from a distance. Unfortunately, the clouds are too thick to see. When there is no cloud, I can see four peaks over 8000 meters here, namely Mount Everest, Mount Makaru, Mount Luozi and Mount Zhuoyou. The scenery here is absolutely world-class. It can also be said that Gaowula Pass is the most spectacular observation platform for snow-capped mountains in the world.

This was shot with a 500mm telephoto lens at Jiawula Pass. From the position, it should be the fifth highest mountain in the world, with an altitude of 8463 meters. Unfortunately, it was blocked by clouds and the whole mountain was not photographed. This is the only mountain over 8000 meters above sea level that can be seen at the mouth of Gaowula Mountain that morning.
