Huangshan Mountain, one of the three mountains and five mountains, is known as the first wonder mountain in the world. Huangshan Scenic Area is located in the south of Anhui Province in the east of China, with an area of 154 square kilometers. It is called 500 Li Huangshan Mountain. There are no local scenery, especially the four wonders of strange pines, strange rocks, sea of clouds and hot springs. Since ancient times, there has been a reputation that the Five Mountains returned without looking at the mountains, and Huangshan returned without looking at the mountains.

The core scenic spot of Huangshan Mountain in Anhui Province covers an area of about 160.6 square kilometers. Sunrise, strange pines, strange rocks, clouds and hot springs in the mountains are known as the five wonders of Huangshan Mountain. Tourists and friends need to know three place names of Huangshan before coming to Huangshan: Huangshan City (Tunxi), huangshan district (Taiping) and Huangshan Scenic Area (Tangkou).

Huangshan City: Huangshan City includes Tunxi District, Huizhou District and huangshan district. Tunxi, commonly called by local people, is the political, cultural, economic and transportation center of Huangshan area. It should be noted that there is still a distance of about 70KM from Huangshan City (Tunxi) to Huangshan Scenic Area (Tangkou). At present, the expressway between the two places has been opened. Huangshan Railway Station and Airport are both located in the center of Huangshan.

Huangshan district: The local people are generally called Taiping. Now it is the north gate of Huangshan Scenic Area. Tourists and friends can take the newly-built Taiping cableway up the mountain from here. There is still a distance of about 60KM between huangshan district (Taiping) and Huangshan Scenic Area (Tangkou), and the expressways between the two places have also been opened.

Huangshan Scenic Area: that is, tourists visit Huangshan in the sense, more specifically, starting from entering the gate of Huangshan Scenic Area, including the whole Huangshan Scenic Area.

Tangkou: Located at the foot of Huangshan Mountain, it is a tourist town, the location of the south gate of Huangshan Mountain, and the only way to visit Huangshan Scenic Area. From here, you can take a bus to Houshan (Yungu Temple) or Qianshan (Ciguang Pavilion) of Huangshan, and then walk or take a cable car to start hiking and sightseeing. At present, 90% tourists visit Huangshan Mountain from the south gate, which is where tourists gather before climbing.

Generally speaking, Huangshan refers to Huangshan Scenic Area. If you come to Huangshan by train or plane, you can only reach Huangshan City (Tunxi), and then we need to take the shuttle bus from Huangshan to Tangkou to Tangkou Town at the foot of Huangshan Scenic Area, where we can take the "New Country Tour" scenic bus to enter Huangshan Scenic Area.

Let me briefly talk about several modes of transportation from different places to Huangshan:

1 train

At present, there are more than 30 trains passing through Huangshan, and all major cities in China have direct trains to Huangshan. If you arrive at Huangshan Station by train, you can take the shuttle bus from Huangshan City (Tunxi) to huangshan district (Taiping) outside the exit, get off at Tangkou on the way (the cost is about 15 yuan/person, and if you take the expressway, it will run every half hour), and then change to the "New National Line" bus at the scenic interchange center.

Two planes

Huangshan airport is also in Huangshan city, but it is in the suburbs, about 5 kilometers away from the urban area. After getting off the plane, you can take a taxi to Huangshan coach station, and then take the shuttle bus from Tunxi to Taiping and get off at Tangkou (15 yuan/person, take the expressway 18 yuan/person). After arriving at Tangkou, you can transfer to the "New Country Tour" bus in the scenic spot. If there are many people, you can choose to take a taxi directly to Tangkou at the airport (about 150 yuan/car).

3 cars

If you come by car from Wuhan, Hefei, Tongling, Anqing, Nanjing, Wuhu and other places, you can ask first whether you will stop at Tangkou in Huangshan Scenic Area. If you stop over, you can get off at Tangkou directly to save time. At present, there are shuttle buses to Huangshan Scenic Area in Hangzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai, Hefei and Wuhan. When buying tickets, be sure to buy Huangshan Scenic Area (Tangkou). In some places, such as Shanghai, Hangzhou and other cities, some vehicles stop at Huangshan City (Tunxi), and some go directly to Huangshan Scenic Area (Tangkou). If it is a bus to Huangshan city, you need to change to the bus from Tunxi to Taiping at Huangshan bus station, get off at Tangkou, and then change to "New Country Tour" in the scenic spot to get up the mountain.

You can refer to the traffic information of some cities that arrive at Huangshan Scenic Area. You must take such a "new national tour" bus to enter Huangshan scenic area, and foreign vehicles are not allowed to enter.

4 Self-driving cars

With the sustained and rapid development of tourism in Huangshan, Huangshan City has now built various expressways leading to all parts of East China, as follows:

A. Huihang Expressway: Hangzhou-Lin 'an-Shexian-Huangshan City, with a total length of about 200 kilometers and about 2.5 hours.

B Hefei-Tongling-Jiuhuashan-Huangshan Scenic Area-Huangshan City, with a total length of about 300 kilometers and 3 hours.

C. Huangtatao Expressway: Huangshan to Taling, Xiaohe to Taolin, etc. There are also highways to Huang and expressways under construction.
