VIII. Other
tom bombadil appeared in The Lord of the Rings, The Adventures of Tom Bombardier and Tolkien's Fantasy Stories, and the author did not explicitly account for his identity information. Gandalf called tom bombadil the oldest living thing in Middle-earth. There is speculation that he is one of Enu, even Iluvita. When readers compare tom bombadil with Iluvita, Tolkien says that tom bombadil is not Iluvita, but he has not explained it further.
TomBombadil: "Master of forest, running water and hills". The origin is vague, and he calls himself "the old man" and "the master". He once said that he witnessed the "first drop of rain falling and the growth of the first acorn" in Middle-earth, and "lived through the fearless era under the night starlight, before the dark king appeared from outside".

II. Introduction
(1) Story background
The history of the Lord of the Rings can be traced back to the second era in 12. This year, Soren, the Dark Lord, appeared in Irian as Annatar, a "gifted master". Celebrimbor, Lord of Irejan, was deceived by Sauron and forged nineteen governing rings-the Three Elves, the Seven Dwarfs and the Nine Human Rings. In 16, Sauron secretly forged the supreme ring to control other ruling rings.
Celebrimbor saw through Sauron's plot, and he gave Ereinion Gil galad and Galadriel the Three Elf Rings for safekeeping. In 1693, Sauron led an army to invade Iliad, and the battle between the elves and Sauron broke out. Soren's vanguard troops were defeated by celeborn, but he led his troops to Irian in 1695. Celebrimbor tried to hold on to Atthill, Austern, but he was defeated by Soren and captured alive.
He failed to withstand the torture of Sauron, and was forced to reveal the whereabouts of the Seven Commandments of Dwarves and the Nine Commandments of Humans, and was finally killed by Sauron. Sauron got the Nine Commandments of mankind, and he gave them to nine nobles of Numenor, who eventually degenerated into the Rings.
In 3261, Emperor Al-Farasone of Numenor came to the Middle-earth, and he led his army to Mordor, forcing Sauron to surrender to him. Al-Farason captured Soren and brought him back to Numan.
