Is Yulin cold now?

Yulin City is located in the north of Shaanxi Province, with east longitude 107 28 ˊ, ~115 ˊ, and north latitude 36 57 ˊ ~ 39 35 ˊ. It borders Gansu and Ningxia in the west, Mongolia in the north, Shanxi Province across the Yellow River in the east and Yan 'an in the south. The ancient Great Wall runs obliquely through the territory from northeast to southwest to northwest, with a total length of about 700 axioms. The land area of the whole region is 42,962 square axioms, accounting for about 20% of the province, ranking first among the ten cities in the province.

The terrain inclines from northwest to southeast, with an elevation of 900 ~1500m. The highest point is Wei Liang in Dingbian County, with an altitude of 1907m, and the lowest point is the entrance of Qingjian Wuding River, with an altitude of 560m. Land types are divided into wind-blown sand land type and hilly and gully land type, which makes the landform generally bounded by the ancient Great Wall, forming two natural regions with different landforms: wind-blown sand land type in the north and loess hilly and gully region in the south. There are four major rivers (Wuding River, Kuyehe River, Tuwei River and Jia Luhe) and four major water systems (Huangfuchuan, Qingshuichuan, Gushanhe and Shimachuan).

Our region is rich in sunlight and light energy resources. Light resources are the highest in our province and one of the high-value areas in China. It can completely meet the needs of various crops in our region.

1. It's cold in the east and hot in summer. After entering the east, it is controlled by the denatured polar continental air mass. The weather is cold, cold, dry, sunny and cloudy. It is hot in summer due to the influence of tropical warm and humid air mass, and the average temperature in each month is above 20℃. 2. The cold wave cools down more and the frost-free period is short. The cold wave cooling in our region first appeared in September and finally appeared in May. 3. Low calorie and various types. The accumulated temperature in our area is ≥0℃, 3524 ~ 454 1℃, 10℃, and the accumulated temperature is 2847 ~ 4 148℃. Generally speaking, the heat is low, but in some places, the heat enters Weibei, and the accumulated temperature is above 4000℃. Long-staple cotton can be developed from the accumulated temperature alone. At least it can only meet the needs of autumn miscellaneous grains such as cereals and glutinous rice. Therefore, it is beneficial to the multi-type development of agriculture and animal husbandry.

4. The daily temperature difference is large, which is beneficial to dry matter accumulation. The annual average daily range in our region is11.4 ~13.9℃, which can reach 20℃ at the highest in the crop growing season, so the fruits in Yulin area are big, delicious, good in color and sweet in quality.
